India extends airspace ban for Pakistani aircraft
India has extended its airspace ban for Pakistani civilian and military aircraft until October 24. Pakistan has also closed its airspace to Indian aircraft since April following the Pahalgam terror attack.
Both countries have now issued separate 'Notices to Airmen' (NOTAMs) to extend this ban until October 24.
According to the notice issued on September 23, Indian airspace will not be available to aircraft registered in Pakistan and aircraft operated or owned or leased by Pakistani airlines or operators, including military flights.This airspace will remain closed until 23:59 (UTC) on October 23, which becomes 05:30 (IST) on October 24.
India imposed restrictions on Pakistani aircraft from April 30 following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. Since then, these restrictions have been extended.
