Family murdered in Ferozepur, followed by suicide: A property businessman first shot his wife and two daughters

In Ferozepur, Punjab, property businessman and financier Amandeep Singh shot and killed his two daughters and wife before committing suicide by shooting himself. According to the police, when the cleaning lady arrived in the morning and knocked on the door, no one answered.

The cleaning lady called the tenant living upstairs. The tenant then called the homeowner. The phone inside the house kept ringing, but no one answered or opened the door.

This made them suspect a gas leak. However, when they went downstairs and broke down the door, they discovered that everyone was dead. Besides Amandeep, the bodies of his wife Jasveer Kaur, and daughters Manveer (10) and Parneet (6) were found. The police have also recovered a pistol from the scene.

SSP Bhupinder Singh said that the entire matter is being investigated. The police are checking if there is any other angle to the case. The incident took place in Harman Nagar.

Door broken down, bodies found inside: Amandeep's neighbor Karanjit Singh said that when the cleaning lady came in the morning, the gate wasn't opened from their side. The tenants living upstairs then told me that Amandeep Singh wasn't opening the gate. We thought there might have been a gas leak. We broke down the door and found the bodies inside.
We went for a walk together last evening too: Karanjit said that the family was very friendly. They had gone for a walk together on Wednesday night. They were talking.
