Online Gaming case in SC

The Online Gaming Act 2025 is the first central law to ban online games that involve money transactions. Senior advocate CA Sundaram, appearing in the case, told the bench that due to this, the business was completely closed for more than a month. During the hearing, the bench was told that a new writ petition was filed in this matter but it was not listed for hearing.

The lawyer said that the petitioner participates in online tournaments organized by companies and he also pays participation fees. After this, the bench said that his petition should also be joined with the pending petitions.
