Satinderjeet Singh, popularly known by his alias Goldy Brar, is a Canada-based operative originating from Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab. The son of a former Punjab Police assistant sub-inspector, Brar moved to Canada on a student visa in 2017. His trajectory into organized crime accelerated following the 2020 murder of his cousin, Gurlal Brar, which plunged him deeper into rivalry with local gangs and consolidated his association with imprisoned kingpin Lawrence Bishnoi.
Operating primarily from North America, Brar quickly rose to become a key mastermind of the Bishnoi syndicate, orchestrating extortion rings, targeted killings, and cross-border weapons trafficking.
The High-Profile Murder of Sidhu Moose Wala
Goldy Brar became a household name across India in May 2022 following the high-profile assassination of popular Punjabi singer and politician Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, known as Sidhu Moose Wala. Moose Wala was ambushed and shot dead in his vehicle in Mansa district, Punjab. Shortly after the attack, Brar explicitly claimed responsibility via social media posts, citing revenge for the killing of a syndicate member.
