Punjab BJP denies Captain's claim: Working President says will contest all 117 seats

The BJP has denied BJP leader and former CM Captain Amarinder Singh's assertion that an alliance with the Akali Dal (Badal) is necessary in Punjab. Punjab BJP Working President Ashwani Sharma said, "Captain Sahib is senior, and he has expressed his personal opinion. The party has been clear from day one. It is planning and expanding its organizational structure with 117 seats in mind. The party is working in an organizational and movement-driven manner for all 117 seats."

A few days ago, Captain Amarinder Singh stated in a podcast that the BJP cannot form a government in Punjab on its own. If an alliance with the Akali Dal is not formed, forget about forming a government in 2027, let alone 2032. That would require multiple elections.

Sharma asked, "Since when has MP Harsimrat Badal become an astrologer?"
Ashwani Sharma was asked about Harsimrat Badal's statement that the BJP would not be able to form a government on its own even in 2032. Sharma replied, "She is our elder sister." When has she become an astrologer instead of a politician? What will happen in politics? Who will win? Those in power today, no one thought this would happen, even they themselves did not expect it. Therefore, anything can happen in politics. The public decides who will be crowned. Punjab, like the country, also wants the BJP.

Captain Amarinder Singh made this statement
Captain Amarinder Singh said that if the BJP wants to win the Punjab Assembly elections in 2027, it will have to ally with the Akalis. There is no other way. He argued that strengthening the state's complex political and social equations can only be possible through local alliances.

The main reason for this is that the BJP does not have a base in Punjab's rural areas, but the Akali Dal does. Therefore, both need each other; only then is government possible in Punjab. He said, "This is my experience." If the BJP doesn't form an alliance with the Akali Dal, forget about 2027 and 2032 for forming a government.

Harsimrat also said it's impossible for the BJP to come to power without an alliance.

Reacting to Captain Captain's statement, Akali MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that the BJP will never be able to form a government on its own. Whether it's their former chief, Jakhar Sahib, or Captain Amarinder Singh, they all know the ground reality. But those advising the BJP in Delhi, who are sitting on their shoulders for their own selfish interests, will be shut down if an alliance is formed with the Akali Dal. That's why they keep whispering in their ears. They are unaware of the ground reality.

Harsimrat further said about Captain Captain's statement, "He is right; there is no chance of forming a government even in 2032. However, a government can be formed through an alliance. And an alliance will only happen if Punjab's issues are addressed. Because the Akali Dal was not formed for power." This party was formed 105 years ago to protect the interests of Punjab and Punjabis.

Harsimrat said, "I left my ministerial post when I still had four years left. People don't leave their sarpanch posts, but I felt it was my duty towards the farmers. I tried to convince them internally not to bring a bill that the farmers don't accept, and to talk to them. But when they didn't listen and tried to forcefully pass the bill, I decided to resign and stand with the farmers. Badal Sahib spent 18 years in jail. He faced Indira Gandhi. We always stood with the interests of Punjab."
