Accused arrested for firing at Kapil's Canada cafe: Delhi Police arrested him from Ludhiana
On Friday, the Delhi Police Crime Branch arrested the accused in the shooting at comedian Kapil Sharma's Caps Cafe in Canada from Ludhiana, Punjab. The accused is identified as Bandhu Man Singh Sekhon, who is said to be a key handler of the gangster Goldy Dhillon gang.
During his arrest, police recovered a PX-3 high-end pistol (made in China) and eight live cartridges. According to police, Sekhon had received information about his hiding in India. Sekhon is accused of plotting the shootings and providing shooters and logistical support.
Indeed, Kapil's cafe in Canada has been hit by three shootings on July 10, August 7, and October 18. Goldy Dhillon and Kulveer Sidhu Nepali, associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for all three shootings.
The Crime Branch stated that the search for more gang members is ongoing.
The Crime Branch stated that Sekhon had long served as a link between gangsters in India and Canada. He was involved in incidents such as shootings, extortion, and threats. Police are now investigating other members of the Goldy Dhillon gang, its funding channels, and its arms supply network. This action is being considered a major recent success against international gangs.
