Assistant professor attacked at Punjabi University Patiala

A student at Punjabi University attacked an assistant professor on the head with a stool for arriving late to class. The incident occurred during an exam in the Computer Science department.

Patiala: On Tuesday afternoon, a student attacked an assistant professor in a classroom at Punjabi University, hitting him on the head with a stool. The student fled after the attack, and the injured assistant professor was admitted to the government-run Rajindra Hospital.

An exam was underway in the Computer Science department, where Dr. Lal Chand was on duty. Meanwhile, the student arrived late to class and sat down. When asked by the assistant professor, fifth-semester student Charanpreet Singh said he was taking the exam But when he was asked to leave after arriving late, he attacked him. Urban Estate Police Station Inspector Amandeep Singh Brar said that action will be taken based on the assistant professor's statements.
