PM Modi's foreign tour during monsoon session, Congress said- 'Check your attendance in Parliament once'
Before the monsoon session, an all-party meeting was held on Sunday (July 20, 2025), in which 51 opposition parties participated and raised many issues. After attending the all-party meeting, Congress MP Pramod Tiwari targeted the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that atrocities on Scheduled Castes, women have increased in this government and we will raise these issues in the House. We have clearly told the government that the issue of Operation Sindoor, Bihar elections, foreign policy is the most important. Therefore, the Prime Minister must be present in this meeting, but I think the government is not serious about running the House.
Said this about the Prime Minister
Congress MP Tiwari further said that when the PM knew that he would be abroad on these dates, then why did he call the session. The Prime Minister should look at his attendance, how many days he has attended the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. It seems that our Prime Minister is not serious about democracy.
Along with this, MP Pramod Tiwari also cited Article 75 of the Constitution and said that according to this article, the Council of Ministers is directly answerable to the House. He said, 'The Prime Minister should check his attendance once, how many days he came to the Lok Sabha and how many days in the Rajya Sabha. I allege that the Prime Minister is not serious about democracy.'
