The trade deal between India and America has been finalized. Now America will impose 25 percent tariff on imports from India. This has been announced by President Donald Trump. Trump said that India will have to pay 25 percent tariff from August 1.
Donald Trump wrote on the social media platform Truth, 'India is our friend, but we have done relatively less trade with India in the last several years, because their tariffs are very high, the highest in the world.'
The US President said that India has bought most of the weapons and other military equipment from Russia. Along with this, he said that along with China, India is one of the biggest oil buyers of Russia. When everyone wants Russia to stop killing people in Ukraine, then all these things are not good. Trump further wrote, 'That is why India will have to pay 25 percent tariff and penalty from August 1.'

In a strong post, US President Donald Trump called India a 'friend' but also described Indian trade policies as 'overly taxing' and 'the most troubling in the world'. He said that India's taxes are the highest in the world and the country also makes non-economic trade barriers very difficult.
