The victim's family had come from Amritsar to collect the money. When the man asked for the money, the other family claimed they had already repaid it. The accused's wife said that if they wanted the money, they should provide proof. That's when the accused brandished the rifle. As soon as the victim challenged him, saying "Shoot me if you dare," the accused fired.

A video of the incident has surfaced, recorded by the victim's wife on her mobile phone. The police have registered a case and initiated further action.

The incident took place in Gokhuwal, Batala: The victim, Rajinder Singh, a resident of Amritsar, had lent 5 lakh rupees to a man named Paramjit Singh, a resident of Gokhuwal village in Batala, in 2003. He had gone to the accused's house to collect the money.

The accused was reluctant to repay the money: According to reports, Paramjit Singh had been reluctant to repay the money for a long time. Last night, when Rajinder Singh, along with his wife and driver, went to Paramjit Singh's house in Gokhuwal village to collect the money, Paramjit Singh and his family first got into an argument with him.

The accused angrily brandished a rifle: The accused argued for a long time and told his friend that he had already paid all the money. The accused's wife also said that if they wanted the money, they should provide proof. That's when the accused brandished the rifle. As soon as the victim challenged him, saying "Shoot me if you dare," the accused fired.

Fired with a .315 bore rifle:  Two to three shots were fired from a .315 bore rifle, seriously injuring one person in the leg. One of the bullets hit Rajinder Singh in the leg, after which his driver put him in the car and drove him away. Police registered a case: The police have registered a case and started an investigation. A video of the incident is also going viral, which is reportedly filmed by Rajinder Singh's family on a mobile phone.

Wife and driver escaped unharmed

At the time of the incident, the victim's wife and driver managed to escape from the scene unharmed. In the video filmed by the wife, the accused is clearly seen firing openly. The person who fired the shots has been identified as Paramjit Singh Sandhu, a resident of Gokowal village in Batala. The police have not yet made any arrests in this case. The police are currently investigating the matter.
