CBSE Class 10th Session 2 Date Sheet 2026

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the schedule for the Class 10 Session 2 (Phase 2) examinations for the year 2026. This second session is a major step toward the New Education Policy (NEP) goals, offering students an additional opportunity to improve their scores or clear pending subjects within the same academic year.

Exam Schedule Highlights

The Session 2 examinations are scheduled to begin on May 15, 2026, and will conclude on May 21, 2026. All exams will be held in a single morning shift from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Important Eligibility Criteria

Not every student is eligible for this session. Here are the specific rules:

Improvement Seekers: Students who passed Phase 1 but want to improve their marks in up to three subjects can apply.
Compartment Category: Students who were placed in the "Compartment" category after the Phase 1 results (declared on April 15, 2026) must appear.
Mandatory Phase 1: Only students who appeared for at least three subjects in Phase 1 are eligible. Students marked as "Essential Repeat" (ER) cannot sit for this session
