Sirsa MP Selja attacked the central government: said- Modi was going to bring back black money,

All India Congress Committee General Secretary, former Union Minister and Sirsa MP Kumari Selja has said that the policies of the BJP government show less public welfare and more public oppression and exploitation. The public is getting troubled by the arbitrary actions of banks and the Central Government's breach of promise.

Earlier, the government opened accounts of the poor, laborers, farmers and common citizens in the name of Jan Dhan Yojana, but now according to the new order of the banks, a minimum balance of Rs 10,000 will have to be kept in the account. In a way, it is like mortgaging the hard-earned money of the public to the banks for free. The government should change this policy keeping in mind the public interest.

In a statement issued to the media, MP Kumari Selja has said that, in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party had made big promises to the public, the most popular of which was the promise that Rs 15 lakh will be deposited in the account of every Indian by bringing back the black money deposited abroad. But today, after ten years, this promise has proved to be just a slogan.

Unethical policy of banks should be stopped immediately: Selja

MP Kumari Selja has said that the Reserve Bank of India has refused to impose any kind of ban on arbitrary minimum balance by banks. Banks are free to fix minimum balance in savings accounts and it does not come under the regulatory jurisdiction of RBI.
