Good News for Haryana HKRN Employees: 5% Salary Hike Announced, Effective from July 2026

Chandigarh: The Haryana government has brought major relief to contractual employees deployed across various departments through the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam Limited (HKRNL). The corporation has announced a 5% increase in their salaries. Official orders regarding the wage hike were issued on October 28, and the revised pay scales will be considered effective from July 1, 2026.

Benefit to 1.15 Lakh Employees This decision will directly benefit approximately 1.15 lakh employees working under HKRN in Haryana. The salary hike is expected to bring a monthly increment ranging from ₹800 to ₹1,500. The new pay scale is structured comprehensively, taking into account the employee’s experience and the specific category of the district where they are posted.

The orders have been officially circulated to all administrative secretaries, heads of departments, divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners, board corporations, and universities across the state.

Salary Structure Based on District Categories HKRNL has divided the salary rates into three levels based on district categories:

  • Category-I Districts: ₹21,950 to ₹31,890 per month

  • Category-II Districts: ₹19,380 to ₹28,730 per month

  • Category-III Districts: ₹17,910 to ₹27,040 per month

Additional Perks for Experience The revised rules highly reward experience. Employees with up to 5 years of experience will receive the standard base rate. However, employees with 5 to 10 years of experience will get a 10% increment on the base rate, and those with over 10 years of experience will receive an impressive 20% additional salary.

Background: Prolonged Protests for Job Security This hike comes in the backdrop of ongoing demonstrations by HKRN employees demanding job regularization. About two months ago, over 600 employees in Karnal went on strike demanding job security. Similar protests were witnessed at the Bhiwani Civil Hospital, where Deepak Tanwar, the head of the HKRN Employees Union (Health Department), highlighted that workers had not received their salaries for four months.
