In Ajnala, Punjab, the convoy of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Badal met with an accident. The DSP's Thar vehicle accompanying him collided with a police bus. The accident took place when Sukhbir Badal had arrived to distribute relief materials.
The incident took place in Vichhoha village. There were several vehicles in the convoy. The DSP's Thar vehicle lost control and collided with a bus in front of them. Due to this, the bus collided with an Akali leader's Fortuner car. Then the convoy came to a halt. All the people got out and ran towards the crashed cars and the bus, saving people.
On receiving information, the local police also reached the spot and investigated the incident. During this, the road was blocked, which was cleared by the police.

According to the police, Sukhbir Badal was on a visit to Ajnala. He had come to visit the flood-affected areas and was distributing relief materials. Meanwhile, DSP Inderjit Singh’s Thar vehicle, which was part of his convoy, collided with the bus in front. The Thar vehicle, which went out of control, collided with a Fortuner car in the convoy ahead. This Fortuner belongs to an Akali leader. All the vehicles stopped immediately after the collision.
Airbags deployed, no casualties.
All the vehicles in the convoy stopped immediately after the accident. Everyone immediately ran towards the Thar vehicle and pulled out the DSP and others inside. The Thar’s airbags were deployed immediately after the accident. This did not cause any casualties. However, some parts of the Thar and the bus were damaged.
After the accident, the convoy stopped, and Badal left.
According to reports, Sukhbir Badal’s vehicle was in front of the convoy, while the Fortuner car, police bus and DSP’s Thar were coming behind. The convoy stopped after the accident, but due to security reasons, Sukhbir Badal continued to move with his convoy.
