Threats have been made to blow up 11 court complexes in 7 states.

Ten court complexes in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh received bomb threats on Thursday. ​​The court premises have been evacuated. Police teams and dog squads are conducting investigations. A climate of fear prevails in all the affected areas. All the threats were received via email.

Threat calls were also received at the Ferozepur, Moga, and Rupnagar district courts in Punjab. The Himachal Pradesh High Court also received a threat, creating panic there.

According to Punjab Police sources, the threat was received via email to the District and Sessions Judge. Following this, the court complex is being evacuated. However, no official is willing to comment on the origin of the email, who sent it, or its contents.

As a precautionary measure, the parking area is also being cleared. Police forces are deployed at the scene. Several police teams are searching the court premises. Earlier, schools in Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Patiala had received bomb threats.

Four courts in Bihar received bomb threats: Patna Civil Court, Patna City Court, Kishanganj Civil Court, and Gaya Civil Court.

The threat was sent via an anonymous email, which stated: "Three RDX bombs have been planted in the court premises. We will blow up the court at 2:30 PM." Following the threat, security has been increased at all courts in the state.

Upon receiving the information, the court premises are being evacuated. Lawyers and judges have left their chambers. Police from the Pirbahore police station in Patna are searching the court premises. The court has been closed for now.

No one is being allowed inside. Anyone arriving at the Patna Civil Court is being turned away. Prisoners and witnesses have all been sent back.

The Rajnandgaon District Court in Chhattisgarh also received a bomb (RDX) threat. The threat was sent by an unknown person to the official email ID of District and Sessions Judge Vijay Kumar Hota. Upon receiving the threatening email, the police, administration, and security agencies went on high alert. For security reasons, the entire district court complex was immediately evacuated. All judges, lawyers, court staff, and members of the public were safely escorted out. A large number of police personnel have been deployed in and around the court premises.
