Learn about the case surrounding the idol of Lord Vishnu
On September 16, the Supreme Court dismissed a petition seeking the restoration of the 7-foot-tall broken idol of Lord Vishnu at the Javari (Vamana) Temple in Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh. The petitioner expressed displeasure over this decision.
He stated that this decision hurts religious sentiments. The court stated that the idol will remain in its original condition. Devotees wishing to worship can visit other temples.
