Sri Harmandir Sahib threatened for the 8th time in 6 days, Shiromani Committee receives email again
Threats to bomb the Golden Temple in Amritsar continued for the sixth consecutive day, which has increased the concern of the security agencies. The latest case is of Saturday night, when a threatening message was again sent to the SGPC's email. This is the eighth time in the last six days that threats have been made to damage this holy place.
After these incidents, security arrangements have been tightened inside and outside the Golden Temple, in which the SGPC's task force is also deployed with full alertness. On the other hand, Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj of Sri Akal Takht Sahib has raised questions on the security agencies of the state and the center.
He said that despite the technology and resources, the fact that the real culprit has not been found till now is a matter of serious concern. The Jathedar demanded that the culprit should be presented before the Khalsa Panth as soon as possible and a thorough investigation should be done into the motive behind the threat. He emphasized that the Golden Temple is a common spiritual place not only for Sikhs but for the entire humanity, where thousands of devotees come to pay obeisance every day.
He raised the question that despite the police taking a suspect Shubham Dubey into custody, why the real culprit has not come forward even after five days. The Jathedar suspected that the purpose of this is to reduce the number of devotees by creating fear in their minds.
What did the Police Commissioner say in the case..
Worked in two companies, now unemployed The Police Commissioner said that Shubham Dubey is 24 years old and a software engineer. He has worked in two companies, but is now unemployed. Some technical evidence has been found, due to which the suspicion has fallen on Shubham. At present, Shubham is being interrogated strictly.
Used dark web to send e-mails The Police Commissioner said that the accused are using dark web to send e-mails. This is the reason why the IP addresses are coming from different countries. Not only this, earlier some e-mails were sent from Outlook, but the e-mails sent on July 16 were sent from Hotmail.
Emails sent to many states including Delhi, Tamil Nadu The Police Commissioner said that he fears that some youth, organization or people want to attract attention by sending threatening emails to the Golden Temple. In fact, such emails have also come to Delhi's schools, courts, Chief Ministers of various states and various institutions.
Investigative agencies are busy connecting all the cases The Police Commissioner further said that the police can get some important clues during the interrogation of Shubham. Investigative agencies are trying to find out whether this was a single cyber threat or there is an organized network or radical conspiracy behind it.
