Dera Beas chief Gurinder Singh Dhillon today met Akali leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia, lodged in Nabha jail here. The meeting between the two lasted for about half an hour. However, after this meeting, the Dera chief also met the people gathered outside the jail.
After the jail, the Dera Beas chief went to meet the descendants of the royal family of Nabha at their residence in Hira Mahila.
It is noteworthy that the jail administration has not yet allowed senior leaders of the Shiromani Akali Dal to meet Bikram Majithia.
In recent days, leaders like Daljit Singh Cheema, Sikander Singh Maluka, Mahesh Inder Grewal, Virsa Singh Valtoha etc. were turned away from outside the jail saying that only relatives could meet them.
