Youth Movement Escalates: Cockroach Janata Party Issues 7-Day Resignation Ultimatum to Education Minister

The newly formed Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has shaken up national politics by issuing a strict ultimatum to the Central Government. Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the youth-led political front, has declared a nationwide agitation if Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan does not step down by June 13.

Dipke announced that he will personally travel to different states and major cities to lead massive grassroot demonstrations to hold the administration accountable for systemic failures in competitive examinations.

The Jantar Mantar Stir: A "Trailer" of Gen-Z Anger

The announcement comes right on the heels of a massive, peaceful demonstration organized by the CJP at Delhi's Jantar Mantar. Hundreds of students, parents, and youth activists gathered at the designated site, many wearing symbolic cockroach masks and holding national flags alongside academic textbooks.

The protest drew high-profile solidarity from prominent climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, as well as support from key opposition figures, including Uddhav Thackeray and Rohit Pawar.

Addressing the crowd shortly after flying back to India from the United States, Dipke criticized the government's heavy-handed response to their digital campaign:

"It has been a month since we started demanding the Education Minister's resignation on social media. Instead of taking action, they have been focused on hacking our accounts and getting our posts deleted. You may be able to delete our posts, but you cannot erase us from this space."

Root of the Fury: Academic Irregularities Affecting Millions

The CJP’s primary demand stems from widespread public frustration surrounding massive irregularities, paper leaks, and mismanagement across premier national entrance and recruitment tests. The student community has been in uproar over structural discrepancies affecting:

  • NEET-UG: Allegations of widespread question paper leaks and discrepancies in grace marks.

  • CBSE: Issues surrounding the digital on-screen marking evaluations.

  • CUET & SSC GD: General administrative failures and recruitment delays.

The CJP asserts that these ongoing crises have put the future of over one crore (10 million) students at risk, making it an issue of moral accountability for the leadership.

"For the Youth, By the Youth": Going Nationwide From June 13

Speaking to reporters in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, Dipke outlined the party’s roadmap. If the minister refuses to resign by the June 13 deadline, the CJP will pivot from its central Delhi focus to a decentralized, pan-India movement.

Dipke clarified that the group, which started as a satirical online campaign in May and rapidly garnered over 22 million social media views, is strictly a non-partisan platform tailored for Gen Z.

Peaceful Democratic Resistance

Responding to concerns about whether the student-led unrest could parallel the high-intensity youth revolutions witnessed in neighboring countries like Bangladesh or Nepal, Dipke firmly dismissed the comparison.

"Our movement is completely peaceful and operates strictly within constitutional boundaries. There is a democratic system in India, and we are using our right to peaceful dissent to force the system to hear us," Dipke stated, reaffirming that the next phase of protests will maintain absolute discipline.
