One accused arrested in case of threat to Darbar Sahib
On Friday, for the fifth day, once again a bomb threat was sent to the Golden Temple in Punjab. In this case, Amritsar police has detained a software engineer from Haryana. He has been identified as Shubham Dubey from Faridabad, who is being questioned after being brought to Amritsar. Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar has confirmed this.
The threat came again in the evening. SGPC Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Mann said that the threatening email came after Shubham Dubey was taken into custody. The Police Commissioner should pay serious attention to this matter.
At the same time, the Police Commissioner said that the emails were not only sent to the Golden Temple, but also to Delhi schools, courts, CM, MPs and many institutions of Tamil Nadu. There is a suspicion that an attempt is being made to highlight the issues of Tamil Nadu by using the name of the Golden Temple, because in the threatening emails that have been sent, two lines are about the Golden Temple. But the topic that starts below that mentions incidents related to Tamil Nadu and DMK. All the people whose names are written in this email are also from South states.
The Police Commissioner said that many emails have also circulated in Tamil Nadu in the past. Due to this, many officials of Tamil Nadu are also in touch with the Punjab Police.
Let us tell you that since July 14, SGPC has received 6 threatening emails. In these mails, it was said to blow up the Golden Temple with RDX. After this, the security agencies in Amritsar became alert and a search operation was carried out with tight security in the temple complex and surrounding areas.

The Police Commissioner said that Shubham Dubey is 24 years old and is a software engineer. He has worked in two companies, but is now unemployed. Some technical evidence has been found, due to which the suspicion has fallen on Shubham. At present, Shubham is being interrogated strictly.
Dark web used to send e-mails
The Police Commissioner said that the accused are using the dark web to send e-mails. This is the reason why the IP addresses are coming from different countries. Not only this, earlier some e-mails were sent from Outlook, but the e-mails sent on July 16 were sent from Hotmail.
E-mails sent to many states including Delhi, Tamil Nadu
The Police Commissioner said that he fears that some youth, organizations or people want to attract attention by sending threatening emails to the Golden Temple. In fact, such e-mails have also come to Delhi's schools, courts, Chief Ministers of various states and various institutions.
Investigative agencies are busy connecting all the cases
The Police Commissioner further said that the police may get some important clues during the interrogation of Shubham. Investigative agencies are trying to find out whether this was a single cyber threat or there is an organized network or radical conspiracy behind it.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held a high-level meeting
Taking the threatening e-mail seriously, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann held an emergency meeting with top police and intelligence officials including DGP Gaurav Yadav. After the meeting, he posted on social media and said-
We will not compromise on the security of Punjab. Protecting a holy place like the Golden Temple is our top priority. Security agencies are alert and no anti-national element will be spared.
The Chief Minister appealed to the people of Punjab to stay away from rumors and immediately report any suspicious activity to the police.
SGPC had expressed concern
SGPC chief Harjinder Singh Dhami had expressed concern over this entire incident. He had said that it is not clear whether the threat is part of a mischief or a hint of a big conspiracy. He had demanded the government to investigate the matter in depth.
