Gangster Lawrence's brother, Anmol, was deported from the United States and brought to Delhi on Wednesday. He was taken into custody by the NIA at the airport. He will now be produced in the Patiala court. A total of 200 people have been deported from the United States, including three from India.
In addition to Anmol, two others are from Punjab. Their whereabouts are not yet known. Gangster Anmol is a wanted accused in the April 2024 firing incident at Bollywood star Salman Khan's house. He is also the main accused in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai last year.
Anmol's name also surfaced in the 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. According to media reports, Anmol was arrested for illegally entering the United States. He is on the National Investigation Agency (NIA)'s wanted list in India. The NIA has also announced a reward of ₹10 lakh on his head.
Siddiqui's son was informed by the US Department of Homeland Security in an email.
Baba Siddiqui's son and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddiqui told news agency PTI on Tuesday that he received an email from the US Department of Homeland Security stating that Anmol had been deported from the US. Zeeshan said Anmol should be brought to India and prosecuted for his crimes.
Anmol's name surfaced in the firing on Salman and the Baba murder case.
March 2023: Salman Khan received threats from the Lawrence gang. Following this, Salman was granted Y+ category security by the Maharashtra government. The NIA stated that Khan topped a list of 10 people whom the jailed gangster Lawrence had threatened to kill. The Bishnoi community is angered by the 1998 blackbuck poaching incident, citing which Lawrence threatened to kill Salman in a TV interview. Following this, on April 14, 2024, two men on a motorcycle opened fire at Salman's house.
October 12, 2024: Baba Siddiqui was shot dead at around 9:30 pm on October 12, 2024, at the Kherwadi signal in Bandra, Mumbai. The Lawrence gang claimed responsibility for the murder. Police arrested approximately 26 accused in the case. Anmol, Shubham Lonkar, and Zeeshan Mohammad Akhtar were declared wanted in the case. At the time of Baba Siddiqui's murder, Anmol was in contact with the shooters by phone. After Siddiqui's death, one of the shooters confirmed Siddiqui's death by sending him photos and videos of the scene.
May 29, 2022: Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, was shot dead in Mansa district, Punjab, on May 29, 2022. Anmol alias Bhanu's name first came into the news after the Moosewala murder. Punjab Police investigations revealed that Lawrence had plotted Moosewala's murder from Tihar Jail. His brother Anmol and nephew Sachin, along with Canadian gangster Goldy Brar, executed the entire conspiracy.

Lawrence was born on February 12, 1993, in Fazilka, Punjab. His father was a police constable. His mother wrote his name as Lawrence. In police records, Lawrence's name is Satwinder Singh. The Lawrence gang's network spans the globe. It is said that his gang has over 700 shooters, of which over 300 are from Punjab. His operatives operate from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Himachal Pradesh.
