Pollution in Delhi-NCR is steadily increasing. On Thursday, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) was 506, which falls in the hazardous category. In a live ranking by IQ Air, an international organization that measures air pollution worldwide, Delhi was ranked as the most polluted city in the world.
Due to increasing air pollution, the Delhi government has banned sports events in all schools in November and December. Earlier, on October 18, the Supreme Court had ordered against sports functions in Delhi schools due to pollution in Delhi-NCR.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh has been experiencing severe cold for the past 15 days. In the last 24 hours, temperatures dropped below 10 degrees in 12 cities, including Bhopal and Indore. Rajgarh recorded the lowest temperature of 7.5 degrees. Dense fog enveloped Jabalpur. A cold wave alert is in effect for Indore, Bhopal, Rajgarh, Shajapur, and Sehore on Friday.

Temperatures in Badrinath, Uttarakhand, are below minus 6°C. Fog is spreading across the plains in the morning. According to meteorologists, the weather will remain the same in the state for the next few days. Further snowfall is expected.
