The action against gangsters continues on the second day of 'Operation Prahar' launched by the Punjab Police. On the second day of the mission, police in Fazilka encountered a criminal. Meanwhile, an encounter took place between the police and notorious gangster Harjinder Singh Ladi on the Sangrur-Patiala bypass in Patiala district. During this encounter, gangster Ladi was injured by police firing. DIG Kuldeep Singh Chahal said that the arrested criminal has several serious cases registered against him. Illegal weapons have been recovered from him.

He said that under the special operation, 126 people have been arrested from the entire range. 60 people have been arrested in Patiala alone.

It is worth noting that Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav had launched a 72-hour 'Operation Prahar' on Tuesday. Two thousand police teams were deployed in this operation.

1314 associates of gangsters arrested on the first day
On the first day, the Punjab Police detained 1314 associates and accomplices of foreign-based gangsters across the state. All of them are being interrogated thoroughly. The operation has continued since this morning.

Police are active in all districts including Mohali, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, and Moga. The aim is to cripple the gangsters through this operation.

Monitoring gangster activities, helpline number issued
Under the operation, the police are investigating gangsters, their associates, and family members involved in their activities across the state. A helpline number 93946-93946 has also been issued to provide information about gangsters. As the police launched Operation Prahar, encounters took place in Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Mandi Gobindgarh yesterday. DIG Sandeep Goyal stated that a notorious gangster, Mani Prince, who had around 50 cases registered against him, was killed in an encounter in Amritsar.

An attempt was made to apprehend Mani in the Gharinda police station area. During this, he opened fire on the police. The police retaliated, resulting in Mani's death.

60 Gangsters, their associates and families mapped
DGP Gaurav Yadav stated that the main gangsters active in the state have been identified, many of whom are based abroad. The police have also mapped hundreds of active associates and family members connected to these gangsters. Special police teams have been formed for surveillance and action, and they are conducting raids and interrogations at various locations.

Action will be taken even if family members are involved
The DGP clarified that if any family member of a gangster is found to be involved in any criminal activity, legal action will be taken against them as well. He said that criminals sitting abroad should not consider themselves safe. He also appealed to misguided youth to return to the mainstream.

Crackdown on travel agents and criminal financing
The police are taking strict action against crime funding and money laundering networks. Properties linked to drug trafficking have been frozen. Action is also being taken against assets and businesses associated with gangsters. Travel agents who illegally send criminals abroad are being identified and legal action is being taken against them.

Process to bring gangsters based abroad back to India expedited
The DGP stated that an Overseas Fugitive Trafficking and Extradition Cell (OFTEC) has been formed, which will work on the identification, deportation, and extradition process of criminals based abroad. तरनतारन पुलिस ने 2025 की सबसे बड़ी नार्को तस्करी कार्रवाई में एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय ड्रग सिंडिकेट का भंडाफोड़ करते हुए 85 किलो हेरोइन जब्त की है। यह नेटवर्क पाकिस्तानी खुफिया एजेंसी आईएसआई के संरक्षण में चल रहा था और इसे यूके स्थित ड्रग हैंडलर लल्ली संचालित कर रहा था।

भारत में स्थित इस नेटवर्क के मुख्य संचालक अमृतसर (ग्रामीण) के गांव भिट्टेवाड़ निवासी अमरजोत सिंह उर्फ ​​जोता संधू को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। पुलिस के अनुसार अमरजोत सीमा पार के तस्करों से ड्रग्स की खेप प्राप्त करता था और उन्हें पंजाब के विभिन्न हिस्सों में सप्लाई करता था। उसके आवास का इस्तेमाल इस नेटवर्क के लिए मुख्य ठिकाने के रूप में किया जा रहा था।

पुलिस ने उसके ठिकाने से 85 किलो हेरोइन बरामद की है, जिसकी अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार में करोड़ों रुपए कीमत बताई जा रही है। इस संबंध में संबंधित धाराओं के तहत एफआईआर दर्ज कर ली गई है और आगे की जांच जारी है।

तरनतारन पुलिस ने पुष्टि की है कि यह नेटवर्क पाकिस्तान से संचालित हो रहा था और इसमें ISI की संलिप्तता के संकेत मिले हैं। यूके में बैठे लल्ली नामक तस्कर इस पूरे नेटवर्क को नियंत्रित कर रहा था, जबकि अमरजोत जैसे स्थानीय एजेंट ग्राउंड लेवल पर डिलीवरी और सप्लाई का काम संभालते थे।

पुलिस ने बताया कि वे बैकवर्ड और फॉरवर्ड लिंक यानी नेटवर्क के पिछले और आगे के संबंधों की गहराई से जांच कर रहे हैं। इसमें और गिरफ्तारियां तथा ड्रग्स की बरामदगी संभव है।

तरनतारन पुलिस के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों ने इस कार्रवाई को एक बड़ी सफलता बताया है और कहा है कि सीमावर्ती इलाकों में ड्रोन, सुरंग और अन्य तरीकों से हो रही ड्रग्स तस्करी पर पूरी निगरानी रखी जा रही है।

पंजाब पुलिस की काउंटर इंटेलिजेंस अमृतसर ने अवैध हथियारों की तस्करी के खिलाफ बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय गिरोह से जुड़े दो तस्करों को गिरफ्तार किया है। ये आरोपी उस समय पुलिस की गिरफ्त में आए जब वे ग्राहक को डिलीवरी करने पहुंचे। आरोपियों के खिलाफ स्टेट स्पेशल ऑपरेशंस सेल (एसएसओसी) में मामला दर्ज किया गया है।

आरोपियों से 8 आधुनिक पिस्तौल बरामद की गई हैं। डीजीपी गौरव यादव ने बताया कि पुलिस ने यह कार्रवाई अमृतसर के घरिंडा के अंतर्गत आने वाले गांव नूरपुर पधरी में की है। यहां दो आरोपी डिलीवरी करने के लिए ग्राहक का इंतजार कर रहे थे। लेकिन काउंटर इंटेलिजेंस को इसकी जानकारी पहले ही मिल गई थी। जिसके बाद प्लानिंग की गई और जाल तैयार किया गया।

पुलिस ने इन व्यक्तियों के खिलाफ स्टेट स्पेशल ऑपरेशंस सेल (SSOC) अमृतसर में आर्म्स एक्ट के तहत एफआईआर दर्ज की गई है। जांच जारी है, जिसमें इनके पीछे की नेटवर्किंग का पता लगाया जा रहा है। पुलिस का कहना है कि जल्द ही इस गैंग के और भी सदस्य काबू कर लिए जाएंगे।

पंजाब के अमृतसर में देहात पुलिस ने एक किलो आइस (मेथामेटाफिन) और तीन किलोग्राम हेरोइन के साथ दो नशा तस्करों को गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपियों के लिंक पाकिस्तान में बैठे बड़े नशा तस्करों से पाए गए हैं। डीजीपी पंजाब गौरव यादव द्वारा शेयर किए गए एक ट्वीट में इसकी जानकारी सांझा की गई।

डीजीपी गौरव यादव ने कहा कि, अमृतसर देहात पुलिस ने एक बड़ा नेटवर्क ब्रेक किया है। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय ड्रग कार्टेल का भंडाफोड़ हुआ है। बरामद हुई 3 किलोग्राम हेरोइन और 1 किलोग्राम आइस (मेथामेटाफिन) की मार्केट में कीमत 25 करोड़ से ज्यादा की है।

डीजीपी पंजाब गौरव यादव ने बताया कि प्रारंभिक जांच से पता चला है कि गिरफ्तार आरोपी पाकिस्तानी तस्कर डोगर राजपूत के संपर्क में थे। हेरोइन की तस्करी के लिए ड्रोन का इस्तेमाल करते थे। दोनों के खिलाफ अमृतसर देहात पुलिस द्वारा एनडीपीएस एक्ट के तहत केस दर्ज कर लिया गया है। आरोपियों का अगला पिछला लिंक खंगाला जा रहा है। डीजीपी यादव ने कहा कि पंजाब में नशा खत्म करने के लिए हर संभव प्रयास किया जा रहा है।
