Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to virtually address the nationwide 'Khelo India Dialogue' (also organized under the banner 'Khelo India Samvad – Khel Ki Baat, PM Ke Saath') on August 27 at 11:00 AM. Organised by Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, this event forms a key part of the National Sports Day 2026 celebrations ahead of Major Dhyan Chand's birth anniversary on August 29.

PM Modi to Virtually Connect with Youth Across 1,600 Locations

The virtual interaction will connect the Prime Minister with over 800,000 young participants, sports enthusiasts, and athletes across more than 1,600 locations spanning all states and Union Territories. Two higher education institutions in nearly every district of the country will serve as official hubs for students and local youth to join the broadcast.

Selected Category-A venues will feature interactive two-way video connectivity allowing participants to speak directly with the Prime Minister, while remaining locations will live-stream the address.

Five Key Pillars of the 'Yuva Samvaad' Agenda

The central segment of the dialogue, titled Yuva Samvaad, focuses on five core themes essential to national development and sports culture:

• Improving the Sports Ecosystem: Modernizing sports infrastructure, advancing sports science, providing elite-level coaching, and promoting inclusive access.

• Roadmap for the 2036 Olympics: Identifying potential talent early, establishing transparent selection processes, and building long-term athlete development programs in line with India's 2036 Olympic bid.

• Youth Leadership & Governance: Channeling youth energy into leadership roles through civic governance platforms and MY Bharat volunteering.

• Empowering Youth for 'Viksit Bharat': Cultivating civic responsibility, introducing future-ready skill sets, and driving structured community participation.

• Nasha Mukt Yuva Movement: Using sports and peer networks as a tool to combat substance abuse and encourage healthy living under the nationwide Jan Bhagidari framework.

Local Interactions & Star Athlete Participation

Following PM Modi's address, local 'Yuva Samvaad' sessions will take place at each venue. Renowned athletes, international medalists, and sports icons—including P.T. Usha, Saina Nehwal, Mary Kom, Pullela Gopichand, and PR Sreejesh—will engage directly with young attendees alongside public representatives.

Participants will also be invited to share their suggestions for sports policies via digital QR codes on the MY Bharat portal and take part in the Viksit Bharat Youth Leadership Development (VBYLD) quiz.
