A massive political storm has hit Tamil Nadu, triggered by explosive claims regarding a conspiracy to topple the newly formed TVK government led by Thalapathy Vijay.

According to reports, Tamil Nadu’s intelligence wing claims to have foiled a major destabilization plot—coming less than two months after Vijay's TVK government assumed power. This revelation has sent the state's political temperature skyrocketing.

Sources reveal that the alleged plan aimed to overthrow the government by engineering the simultaneous resignations of at least 15 TVK MLAs. However, timely intervention by the intelligence department completely thwarted the attempt.

How the Conspiracy Unravelled

According to an NDTV report, authorities launched a high-level investigation acting swiftly on a complaint filed by a TVK lawmaker.

• Initial Arrest: Police initially arrested an employee working for a political consultancy firm.

• The DMK Link: Early investigations pointed to a potential link between the suspect and DMK MLA Senthil Balaji.

• More Arrests: Following further leads, two more individuals were taken into custody and are currently undergoing rigorous interrogation.

The ₹35 Crore Offer and Threats

Sources state that the whistleblower in this case is N. Ilayaraja, the TVK MLA from Uthangarai, who filed an official complaint with the Chennai Police.

The Allegation: Ilayaraja claimed that an individual associated with a consultancy firm named IPDS offered him a staggering ₹35 crore to support a no-confidence motion against Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker JCD Prabhakar.

The TVK MLA further alleged that he was threatened and strictly warned not to disclose this offer to anyone. Media reports, citing official sources, suggest that one of the arrested individuals is a close aide of Senthil Balaji and his brother, Ashok.

Tamil Nadu Minister CT Nirmal Kumar launched a scathing attack on the DMK over the alleged conspiracy.

"Individuals directly associated with Senthil Balaji, as well as members of the so-called 'Karur Gang', are actively involved in this matter," Nirmal Kumar stated. He demanded that the police take strict legal action, arrest everyone involved, and put a permanent end to such "nefarious activities."

A DMK-AIADMK Nexus to Oust Vijay?

Minister CT Nirmal Kumar went a step further, accusing the DMK of joining hands with AIADMK chief Edappadi K. Palaniswami to dethrone the Vijay-led TVK government. He alleged that massive sums of money were being offered to multiple TVK MLAs to encourage defection.
