Meanwhile, police in Kerala's Kannur district recovered 12 improvised explosive devices from two different locations. Investigations are underway in all cases.

Six courts in Gujarat receive threats of being blown up with RDX

The Gujarat High Court and five local courts received threats of being blown up with RDX. A threatening email was sent to the official email address of the Surat court at 2 AM on Monday night. When employees checked the email in the morning, they informed the police.

Similar emails were received by the sessions courts in Anand, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, and Bharuch. However, the bomb squad's investigation did not find any suspicious objects in the courts. According to the police, the threat was made in the name of the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam).

The Ahmedabad Rural Court also received a threatening email on Monday. An unknown person sent an email to the court's email ID threatening to blow up the courtroom. Court proceedings were halted after the threatening email was received in the morning. However, no suspicious objects were found during the investigation.

Kashi Express evacuated at Mau in UP after bomb threat

A bomb threat was received on the Kashi Express (15018 Down) at Mau railway junction in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday morning. The train was stopped at the station, and passengers were safely evacuated.

Mau SP Elamaran G said that a call was received at the police control room around 9:30 AM, claiming that there was a bomb on the train. He said that as soon as the train reached Mau station, passengers were safely evacuated, and every coach was thoroughly searched. No suspicious object has been found so far. The call appears to be a hoax. Our surveillance team is working to trace the source. During a routine check, passengers spotted a suspicious bag in one of the coaches and started shouting and running out in panic. Hearing the commotion, Station House Officer Anil Singh arrived. Without a thought for his own safety, he attached a broom to a stick and carefully dragged the suspicious bag outside. The inspector kept shouting to clear the crowd. However, when the bomb disposal squad searched the bag, they found nothing. The search operation lasted for about three hours. During this time, everyone at the station held their breath.

India's heritage has returned after a wait of 125 years. The fact that the relics were taken out of India and then returned is a great lesson. They were taken away from India during the period of colonial rule.

For those who took them, these were merely antiques, and they even tried to auction them in the international market. India decided that we would not allow them to be auctioned. We express our gratitude to the Godrej Group;
it is because of their cooperation that these relics have been able to return to the land of Buddha.

In fact, in 1898, relics of Lord Buddha were found during excavations in Piprahwa (Kapilavastu region) in Uttar Pradesh. This excavation took place during the British era. The person who conducted the excavation, W.C. Peppe, was an engineer in the British administration at that time. At that time, these relics were sent out of India. They have now been brought back.
The relics are on display at the exhibition of the sacred Piprahwa relics associated with Lord Buddha at the Rai Pithora Cultural Complex in Delhi. PM Modi inaugurated this exhibition.

Three key points from Modi's speech...

Lord Buddha's wisdom belongs to all of humanity. We have felt this sentiment in the last few months. In the countries where these relics went, there was an outpouring of faith. More than 4 million people visited the relics kept in Thailand. In Mongolia, thousands of people waited for hours. Many people wanted to touch the Indian representatives because they had come from the land of Buddha. Millions of people also saw them in Russia. Lord Buddha belongs to everyone, Buddha unites everyone.
I consider myself fortunate; he has had a profound place in my life. Even when I was away from my governmental responsibilities, I used to visit Buddhist pilgrimage sites. Visiting the Maya Devi Temple in Lumbini, Nepal, was a wonderful experience. I also felt the presence of Lord Buddha in Japan and China. In Mongolia, I saw the connection with Buddha in the eyes of the people. Wherever I went, my endeavor was to return with a symbol of Buddha's legacy. This shared heritage of Lord Buddha is proof that India connects not only through diplomacy and politics but also through faith and spirituality. India is a living custodian of his tradition.

Learn about the Piprahwa relics...

The Piprahwa relics are sacred and archaeological artifacts associated with Lord Buddha. These relics were discovered during excavations at a place called Piprahwa in the Siddharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh.

It is believed that they include the relics (bone fragments) of Lord Buddha and other ancient objects associated with him, which were distributed to different places after his Mahaparinirvana (passing away).

The arrest is linked to a land scam worth ₹1500 crore. On Friday, three ED teams arrived at Rajendra Patel's residence in Gandhinagar, where he was arrested after questioning.

The ED team had conducted raids in Surendranagar district on December 20 and 21. Besides Surendranagar Collector Rajendra Patel, raids were also conducted at the residences of his PA Jayrajsinh Jhala, Deputy Tehsildar Chandrasinh Mori, and clerk Mayursinh Gohil.

₹60 lakh cash recovered from Deputy Tehsildar's house
During the raids, more than ₹60 lakh in cash was seized from Mori's house. The cash was hidden in his bedroom. Mori was arrested after the money was found. Subsequently, in his statement recorded under Section 17 of the PMLA on December 23, Mori admitted that the seized cash was bribe money, received from applicants directly or through intermediaries.

₹1 crore bribe was taken
The complaint filed with the ACB also states that Chandrasinh Mori had taken a bribe of ₹1 crore. This also involved Collector Rajendra Patel, clerk Mayur Gohil, and PA Jayrajsinh Jhala. The investigation also revealed that the names of the brokers who paid the money were written on a plain piece of paper. Following this, Rajendra Patel was transferred to Gandhinagar, and his services were placed under the Gujarat Administration Department (GAD).

₹1500 crore land scam
Deputy Tehsildar Mori was entrusted with the title verification and processing of CLU (Change of Land Use) applications under the Saurashtra Gharkhed Tenancy Settlement and Agricultural Lands Ordinance, 1949. However, Mori misused his power. Mori accepted bribes to expedite the approval of files related to over 3,600 bighas of land worth Rs 1,500 crore in the Thangadh area of Wadhwan. The ED stated that the bribe amount was fixed per square meter. The ED's investigation revealed that several names were added to the survey numbers of this land in Wadhwan, and bribes were being taken for adding these names to the survey. The ED's investigation may reveal several more names added to the survey.

Collector took files home
The ED also raided the house of Surendranagar Collector Rajendra Patel. It was discovered that the collector was taking files related to this land home. 100 such files were seized from his bungalow. It has also come to light that Rajendra Patel owns assets worth more than Rs 5 crore.

Who is Dr. Rajendra Kumar Patel?
Dr. Rajendra Kumar Patel, a 2015 batch IAS officer, hails from Ahmedabad district of Gujarat. Born on August 23, 1985, Rajendra Kumar joined the civil services on September 7, 2015. The government appointed Patel as the Collector of Surendranagar on February 4 this year. The sleeper train has been designed keeping in mind journeys of more than 1000 kilometers. Approximately 12 Vande Bharat sleeper trains will be ready by the end of this year.

A trial run of this train was conducted two days ago. The train ran at a speed of 180 kilometers per hour on the Kota-Nagda railway track. The loco pilot placed four glasses of water on a table, and even at that speed, not a single drop of water spilled from the glasses.

Regarding the bullet train, the Railway Minister said that it will be launched on August 15, 2027. The first section to open will be from Surat to Bilimora, followed by the section from Vapi to Surat, then Vapi to Ahmedabad, and finally from Thane to Ahmedabad.

The Railway Minister said that the Prime Minister will soon flag off the train.

Railway Minister Vaishnaw said that PM Modi will soon flag off the first sleeper train. He said that there had been a long-standing demand for new generation trains. The Vande Bharat chair car ushered in a new era in Indian Railways, and people have taken to it very well. There is a demand for Vande Bharat trains from all corners of the country.

The Vande Bharat sleeper features advanced safety features, a superior suspension system, and world-class sleeper coaches. Vaishnaw said that typically, airfares on the Guwahati-Howrah route range between ₹6,000 and ₹8,000, sometimes even reaching ₹10,000. Police said they received information about the fire at 12:45 AM on Sunday night. At that time, the train had reached Yelamanchili railway station in Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh.

When the fire broke out, one of the two coaches had 82 passengers and the other had 76. Police recovered a body from the B1 coach. The deceased has been identified as 70-year-old Chandrasekhar Sundaram.

The burnt coaches were detached, and the train was sent to Ernakulam. Passengers will be sent to their destinations by other means. Two forensic teams are investigating the cause of the fire.

Fire spread from one coach to another

According to reports, the fire first broke out in the B1 coach of the Tatanagar-Ernakulam Express, and then spread to the M2 coach. Panicked passengers, seeing the flames, pulled the emergency chain and ran out of the train. Both coaches of the train have been gutted, and passengers' luggage has also been destroyed.

How can a fire start in an AC coach?

AC coaches run entirely on electricity, so a short circuit can occur due to cut wires, loose connections, or old wiring.
A fire can also be caused by overheating of the coach's AC or electrical panel, or a fault in the compressor or motor.
Overloading of mobile chargers or extension boards can also cause a fire.
In addition, the use of cigarettes, matches, lighters, or flammable materials inside the coach by passengers can also cause a fire.

Know this if you travel by train

Train sockets are only 15-20 watts. They are designed for charging small devices like mobile phones and laptops. These sockets have 110V AC current, which is less than the domestic 220V-240V. Overloading these sockets can cause a short circuit, leading to a fire in the coach. This could also affect the lights, fans, and air conditioning system. It could pose a danger to other passengers. It could disrupt the power supply and damage the train's air conditioning and other electronic equipment.

This is considered a major step towards strengthening the country's indigenous air defense capabilities.

According to the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), during the trial, Akash-NG accurately destroyed aerial targets at varying distances and altitudes. This included targets flying at low altitudes near the border and high-altitude targets at longer ranges.

This missile defense system can target fighter jets, cruise missiles, drones, and UAVs up to a range of 80 km and an altitude of 20 km. It has the capability to engage multiple targets simultaneously, destroying up to 10 targets at once.

Why is Akash-NG special?

According to officials, the Akash-NG missile system is a modern and powerful air defense system. It has been developed by the DRDO and manufactured by Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL). This system is capable of engaging multiple aerial targets simultaneously.

The process of inducting it into the Indian Air Force and the Indian Army has been expedited. Its induction will further strengthen the country's air defense and significantly boost India's indigenous air defense capabilities.

Earlier, on July 17, the Indian Army successfully tested the indigenously developed air defense system 'Akash Prime' in Ladakh. This advanced missile system was also developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

This system shot down two drones flying at an altitude of over 15,000 feet (4500 meters) in eastern Ladakh. Akash Prime is a new and advanced version of the Akash weapon system. It has been designed for use in high-altitude and low-oxygen environments.

In a written reply, Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal stated that the backlog of cases is steadily increasing, from the Supreme Court to lower courts.

According to the latest data released by the government, 90,897 cases are pending in the Supreme Court, 6,363,406 cases in the country's 25 High Courts, and 48,457,343 cases in lower courts. These figures are as of December 8.

Meghwal explained that judicial delays are caused by several factors—the complexity of cases, the nature of evidence, cooperation between lawyers, investigating agencies, witnesses, and litigants, and the availability of adequate infrastructure and staff in courts.

On November 22, two days before taking oath, CJI Surya Kant had stated that the over 50 million pending cases in the country constituted the biggest challenge for the judiciary. He stated that addressing this backlog and promoting mediation to resolve disputes would be his two priorities.

Justice Surya Kant stated, "The number of pending cases in the Supreme Court has crossed 90,000. My first and biggest challenge is these pending cases. I won't delve into how this happened or who is responsible. It's possible that the listings have increased."

He cited the example of how one of his decisions resolved nearly 1,200 cases related to land acquisition disputes in Delhi. Justice Surya Kant said that the second issue is mediation. It is one of the easiest ways to resolve disputes and can truly be a game-changer.

Justice Kant will be sworn in as the 53rd CJI of the country on November 24th, replacing Justice BR Gavai. He was appointed CJI by President Draupadi Murmu on October 30th.

He will seek pendency reports from courts across the country.

He said he will also seek detailed pendency reports from the High Court and trial courts across the country. The High Court will be asked about pending cases that will be decided by a larger Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court.

When asked about the increasing pollution in Delhi-NCR, he said that he takes a morning walk for approximately 50 minutes every day and does not give up this habit, regardless of the weather.

Justice Surya Kant said that caution regarding AI requires understanding its ills along with solutions. Artificial intelligence can provide significant solutions for judicial institutions, but its use must be expanded only after understanding its risks.

He said, "The central government doesn't want me to meet people coming from abroad. Modi ji and the Ministry of External Affairs don't follow this rule. This is their insecurity."

Rahul added, "We all have relationships with other countries. The Leader of the Opposition offers a different perspective. We also represent India; it's not just the government that does."

Rahul further stated...

"It's usually the tradition that whoever comes from abroad meets the Leader of the Opposition. This happened during the governments of Vajpayee ji and Manmohan Singh ji. It has been a tradition, but nowadays, when foreign guests come or when I go abroad, the central government advises them not to meet the Leader of the Opposition. This is their policy, and they always do this."

Meanwhile, Russia's First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov arrived at Parliament on Thursday morning.
Congress MP Manish Tewari said, "I have given a notice for suspension of business today demanding a discussion on Delhi's air pollution. People are facing a lot of problems. Children are having difficulty breathing. This is a huge health crisis."

Regarding the rupee's exchange rate against the dollar, he said, "It's very strange that when the rupee was below 60, they used to talk about the times of Dr. Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi, but now the rupee has reached 90. Now, which era are they comparing it to?"

Priyanka's question: Rupee crosses 90 against the dollar, what will the government answer now?
Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, "A few years ago, when the value of the dollar increased against the rupee during Manmohan Singh's time, the BJP made it an issue. Now the rupee is above 90 against the dollar. What is their answer to this?"

Sonia says: Government should take immediate steps on Delhi pollution
Congress leader Sonia Gandhi demanded that the central government take immediate action on Delhi's pollution. He said, "Children are dying, and the elderly are also having difficulty breathing. It is the government's responsibility to do something; the Prime Minister should stop making statements and solve the problem."

During his arrest, police recovered a PX-3 high-end pistol (made in China) and eight live cartridges.
Indeed, Kapil's cafe in Canada has been hit by three shootings on July 10, August 7, and October 18. Goldy Dhillon and Kulveer Sidhu Nepali, associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for all three shootings.

He was involved in incidents such as shootings, extortion, and threats. Police are now investigating other members of the Goldy Dhillon gang, its funding channels, and its arms supply network. This action is being considered a major recent success against international gangs.

Police said they arrested four smugglers associated with this racket, who were importing high-tech weapons from Pakistan via drones and supplying them to gangsters like Lawrence and Gogi.

According to the Crime Branch, they received information that some smugglers were planning to supply weapons to Delhi. Subsequently, a trap was laid in the Rohini area and the accused were apprehended. Police recovered 10 high-tech pistols made in Turkey and China and 92 live cartridges from the scene.

Police say the recovered weapons are highly sophisticated and a large network was operating behind them. This suggests an organized and highly funded smuggling module.

Weapons were initially transported from Turkey and China to Pakistan

According to the police, this racket was operating from Pakistan. The weapons were first transported from Turkey and China to Pakistan, and then dropped in Punjab via drones. These were then transported to Delhi and surrounding states with the help of smugglers from Uttar Pradesh and Punjab and delivered to the Lawrence, Bambiha, Gogi, and Himanshu Bhau gangs. The network used to send money to Pakistan through hawala.

The Crime Branch is investigating the entire network.

The arrested accused are residents of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. They are named Mandeep, Ajay, Dalwinder, and Rohan. Police are now investigating how many consignments have been sent to India so far and which gangs received the weapons. The Crime Branch is investigating the entire network and its foreign connections through mobile locations, bank records, and social media links.

Following the car bombing in Delhi on November 10th, security agencies across the country are on high alert. A large-scale operation is underway from the capital Delhi to border states. Continuous raids are being conducted against terrorist aides in Kashmir, and the Delhi Police Crime Branch uncovered this network. While its links to terrorists have not yet been established, links to gangsters have been established.
