Ten court complexes in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh received bomb threats on Thursday. ​​The court premises have been evacuated. Police teams and dog squads are conducting investigations. A climate of fear prevails in all the affected areas. All the threats were received via email.

Threat calls were also received at the Ferozepur, Moga, and Rupnagar district courts in Punjab. The Himachal Pradesh High Court also received a threat, creating panic there.

According to Punjab Police sources, the threat was received via email to the District and Sessions Judge. Following this, the court complex is being evacuated. However, no official is willing to comment on the origin of the email, who sent it, or its contents.

As a precautionary measure, the parking area is also being cleared. Police forces are deployed at the scene. Several police teams are searching the court premises. Earlier, schools in Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Patiala had received bomb threats.

Four courts in Bihar received bomb threats: Patna Civil Court, Patna City Court, Kishanganj Civil Court, and Gaya Civil Court.

The threat was sent via an anonymous email, which stated: "Three RDX bombs have been planted in the court premises. We will blow up the court at 2:30 PM." Following the threat, security has been increased at all courts in the state.

Upon receiving the information, the court premises are being evacuated. Lawyers and judges have left their chambers. Police from the Pirbahore police station in Patna are searching the court premises. The court has been closed for now.

No one is being allowed inside. Anyone arriving at the Patna Civil Court is being turned away. Prisoners and witnesses have all been sent back.

The Rajnandgaon District Court in Chhattisgarh also received a bomb (RDX) threat. The threat was sent by an unknown person to the official email ID of District and Sessions Judge Vijay Kumar Hota. Upon receiving the threatening email, the police, administration, and security agencies went on high alert. For security reasons, the entire district court complex was immediately evacuated. All judges, lawyers, court staff, and members of the public were safely escorted out. A large number of police personnel have been deployed in and around the court premises.

Bomb threats were received at different locations in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Karnataka on Tuesday. ​​Threats were made against six courts in Gujarat, a train at Mau railway station in Uttar Pradesh, and the Mysuru district court in Karnataka. In all cases, police and bomb squads investigated the sites, but no suspicious objects were found in any of the courts or on the train.

Meanwhile, police in Kerala's Kannur district recovered 12 improvised explosive devices from two different locations. Investigations are underway in all cases.

Six courts in Gujarat receive threats of being blown up with RDX

The Gujarat High Court and five local courts received threats of being blown up with RDX. A threatening email was sent to the official email address of the Surat court at 2 AM on Monday night. When employees checked the email in the morning, they informed the police.

Similar emails were received by the sessions courts in Anand, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, and Bharuch. However, the bomb squad's investigation did not find any suspicious objects in the courts. According to the police, the threat was made in the name of the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam).

The Ahmedabad Rural Court also received a threatening email on Monday. An unknown person sent an email to the court's email ID threatening to blow up the courtroom. Court proceedings were halted after the threatening email was received in the morning. However, no suspicious objects were found during the investigation.

Kashi Express evacuated at Mau in UP after bomb threat

A bomb threat was received on the Kashi Express (15018 Down) at Mau railway junction in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday morning. The train was stopped at the station, and passengers were safely evacuated.

Mau SP Elamaran G said that a call was received at the police control room around 9:30 AM, claiming that there was a bomb on the train. He said that as soon as the train reached Mau station, passengers were safely evacuated, and every coach was thoroughly searched. No suspicious object has been found so far. The call appears to be a hoax. Our surveillance team is working to trace the source. During a routine check, passengers spotted a suspicious bag in one of the coaches and started shouting and running out in panic. Hearing the commotion, Station House Officer Anil Singh arrived. Without a thought for his own safety, he attached a broom to a stick and carefully dragged the suspicious bag outside. The inspector kept shouting to clear the crowd. However, when the bomb disposal squad searched the bag, they found nothing. The search operation lasted for about three hours. During this time, everyone at the station held their breath.

The Piprahwa relics are sacred and archaeological artifacts associated with Lord Buddha. These relics were discovered during excavations at a place called Piprahwa in the Siddharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh.

It is believed that they include the relics (bone fragments) of Lord Buddha and other ancient objects associated with him, which were distributed to different places after his Mahaparinirvana (passing away).

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team has arrested Rajendra Patel, the former Collector of Surendranagar in Gujarat. The arrest is linked to a land scam worth ₹1500 crore. On Friday, three ED teams arrived at Rajendra Patel's residence in Gandhinagar, where he was arrested after questioning.

The ED team had conducted raids in Surendranagar district on December 20 and 21.  Besides Surendranagar Collector Rajendra Patel, raids were also conducted at the residences of his PA Jayrajsinh Jhala, Deputy Tehsildar Chandrasinh Mori, and clerk Mayursinh Gohil.

₹60 lakh cash recovered from Deputy Tehsildar's house
During the raids, more than ₹60 lakh in cash was seized from Mori's house. The cash was hidden in his bedroom. Mori was arrested after the money was found. Subsequently, in his statement recorded under Section 17 of the PMLA on December 23, Mori admitted that the seized cash was bribe money, received from applicants directly or through intermediaries.

₹1 crore bribe was taken
The complaint filed with the ACB also states that Chandrasinh Mori had taken a bribe of ₹1 crore. This also involved Collector Rajendra Patel, clerk Mayur Gohil, and PA Jayrajsinh Jhala. The investigation also revealed that the names of the brokers who paid the money were written on a plain piece of paper. ₹1500 crore land scam
Deputy Tehsildar Mori was entrusted with the title verification and processing of CLU (Change of Land Use) applications under the Saurashtra Gharkhed Tenancy Settlement and Agricultural Lands Ordinance, 1949. However, Mori misused his power. Mori accepted bribes to expedite the approval of files related to over 3,600 bighas of land worth Rs 1,500 crore in the Thangadh area of ​​Wadhwan. The ED stated that the bribe amount was fixed per square meter. The ED's investigation revealed that several names were added to the survey numbers of this land in Wadhwan, and bribes were being taken for adding these names to the survey. The ED also raided the house of Surendranagar Collector Rajendra Patel. It was discovered that the collector was taking files related to this land home. 100 such files were seized from his bungalow. It has also come to light that Rajendra Patel owns assets worth more than Rs 5 crore.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced at a press conference in New Delhi on Thursday that the trial, testing, and certification of the Vande Bharat sleeper train have been completed. The Indian Army successfully test-fired the advanced version of the Akash missile defense system, Akash Next Generation (Akash-NG), at the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, Odisha, on Tuesday. The central government informed the Rajya Sabha on Thursday that a total of over 54.9 million cases are pending in courts across the country. In a written reply, Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal stated that the backlog of cases is steadily increasing, from the Supreme Court to lower courts.

According to the latest data released by the government, 90,897 cases are pending in the Supreme Court, 6,363,406 cases in the country's 25 High Courts, and 48,457,343 cases in lower courts. These figures are as of December 8.
