Patiala: Punjabi University has revised the 'Golden Chance' fee of Rs 53,000 and reduced it by 65 percent. Along with this, the last date for filling the form has also been extended. The university has also decided that the students who have already paid the fee for this special occasion as per the fixed fee will be given a chance to apply for the same.

Their additional fees will also be refunded. The university had fixed a fee of Rs 53,000 for the re-appearance of students after 2011, dedicated to the martyrdom centenary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, which was a cause of protest among students and this issue was prominently highlighted by Punjabi Jagran, after which the university has given a major relief in fees.
