Addressing the people of Araria on Saturday (September 27, 2025), Home Minister Amit Shah said that for Rahul Gandhi and Lalu Yadav, the objective of the Bihar elections is to win their party and make Lalu's son the Chief Minister, but for BJP workers, this election is about expelling infiltrators from all over Bihar.

He said, "Make the NDA win with a two-thirds majority. I promise you that the BJP will drive out these infiltrators from the holy land of Bihar. Rahul Baba used to mock the BJP. He said that the temple would be built there and would not reveal the date. Now PM Modi has even consecrated the temple. Ram Lalla was in a tent for five and a half centuries, and the PM worked to build the temple for him."

"BJP increased people's income"

Attacking the opposition, Shah said, "One is Sonia's son, the other is Lalu Prasad Yadav's son. Ask them what they did for Bihar? We have a complete list of what we did." PM Modi abolished Article 370, abolished triple talaq, and eliminated terrorists by entering Pahalgam.

He said that when Lalu Yadav was in power, people's income was ₹8,000, and today it is ₹68,000. The BJP has worked to enrich Bihar. This election is to expel infiltrators. This election is to prevent the return of jungle raj. This election is to strengthen PM Modi. We have won almost all the seats here. Will you increase your seats and cross the 160 mark?

Amit Shah attacks Rahul Gandhi over Bihar tour

The Home Minister further said, "Lalu and company looted Bihar and committed scams. Lalu and company looted Bihar, committed numerous scams, and the Congress also looted the country. For the last 11 years, the Modi government has been in power, and our opponents have not been able to accuse us of even a single penny of corruption."

He said, "Rahul Baba recently came to Bihar and even took out a tour here. Rahul Baba wants infiltrators to have the right to vote. This election is about putting Bihar on the path to progress. Rahul Baba, listen carefully. Take out a yatra anywhere in Bihar. The BJP's resolve is to expel every single infiltrator. Rahul Baba and Lalu Prasad Yadav's parties want to protect infiltrators, while we want to expel them.

BJP's promise to make Bihar flood-free

Regarding Bihar's development work, Amit Shah said, "We ranked first in Naugachhia, Bhagalpur, Banka, Araria, Purnia, Katihar, Supaul, Saharsa, and Madhepura. If you once ensure the NDA's victory with a two-thirds majority, I promise you that we will expel infiltrators from Bihar."

He said, "For us, this election is about making the Kosi region flood-free forever. We all have to decide that whatever we buy this Diwali will be completely indigenous. Indians have to take a pledge to adopt indigenous products."

During the discussion on 'Operation Sindoor' in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi raised questions about the Pahalgam terror attack. She said that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh talked about terrorism, national security and history in his speech, but did not tell how the attack happened in Pahalgam?

Paying tribute to the bravery of the army, Priyanka Gandhi said that from the first intrusion of Pakistan in 1948 till now, our army has made an unprecedented contribution in maintaining the integrity of the country. She said, 'The ministers spoke on all aspects, also narrated the history, but the most important question was left out that how and why did the attack happen in Pahalgam?'

People had gone there trusting the government - Priyanka

During this, the Wayanad MP also mentioned the wife of martyr Shubham Dwivedi and said, 'People had gone there trusting the government, but the government left them at the mercy of God. Who is responsible for the attack? Isn't the safety of citizens the responsibility of the Defense Minister and the Home Minister?'

Referring to the establishment of the terrorist organization TRF, its activities and the charges of terrorism against it, Priyanka Gandhi said, 'If any agency of the government did not even get a hint of this horrific attack, then it is a serious intelligence failure.'

She called it a big lapse of the security agencies and said that the government will have to answer why and how such incidents are happening. Priyanka said, 'You keep talking about history, I will talk about the present. You have been in power for the last 11 years. Yesterday when Gaurav Gogoi talked about fixing responsibility, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was looking serious, but Home Minister Amit Shah was laughing.'

Pointing to the Mumbai attack, she said, 'They alleged that the Manmohan government did nothing after 26/11, while the truth is that during the attack itself three terrorists were killed, one was caught alive who was later hanged. At that time, both the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and the Home Minister of the country had resigned.

Pahalgam happened after the riots in Delhi, but the Home Minister did not resign - Priyanka

Priyanka said, 'Rajnath Singh was the Home Minister at the time of Uri and Pulwama attacks and today he is the Defense Minister. Manipur is burning during Amit Shah's tenure, riots happened in Delhi and now the Pahalgam attack happened, yet why is he still the Home Minister? The country wants to know this.'

She said that after the Pahalgam attack, the whole country stood united and if such an attack happens again, the country will unite again. If the country is attacked, we will stand with the government, but will also ask questions.
