During the discussion on 'Operation Sindoor' in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi raised questions about the Pahalgam terror attack. She said that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh talked about terrorism, national security and history in his speech, but did not tell how the attack happened in Pahalgam?

Paying tribute to the bravery of the army, Priyanka Gandhi said that from the first intrusion of Pakistan in 1948 till now, our army has made an unprecedented contribution in maintaining the integrity of the country. She said, 'The ministers spoke on all aspects, also narrated the history, but the most important question was left out that how and why did the attack happen in Pahalgam?'

People had gone there trusting the government - Priyanka

During this, the Wayanad MP also mentioned the wife of martyr Shubham Dwivedi and said, 'People had gone there trusting the government, but the government left them at the mercy of God. Who is responsible for the attack? Isn't the safety of citizens the responsibility of the Defense Minister and the Home Minister?'

Referring to the establishment of the terrorist organization TRF, its activities and the charges of terrorism against it, Priyanka Gandhi said, 'If any agency of the government did not even get a hint of this horrific attack, then it is a serious intelligence failure.'

She called it a big lapse of the security agencies and said that the government will have to answer why and how such incidents are happening. Priyanka said, 'You keep talking about history, I will talk about the present. You have been in power for the last 11 years. Yesterday when Gaurav Gogoi talked about fixing responsibility, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was looking serious, but Home Minister Amit Shah was laughing.'

Pointing to the Mumbai attack, she said, 'They alleged that the Manmohan government did nothing after 26/11, while the truth is that during the attack itself three terrorists were killed, one was caught alive who was later hanged. At that time, both the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and the Home Minister of the country had resigned.

Pahalgam happened after the riots in Delhi, but the Home Minister did not resign - Priyanka

Priyanka said, 'Rajnath Singh was the Home Minister at the time of Uri and Pulwama attacks and today he is the Defense Minister. Manipur is burning during Amit Shah's tenure, riots happened in Delhi and now the Pahalgam attack happened, yet why is he still the Home Minister? The country wants to know this.'

She said that after the Pahalgam attack, the whole country stood united and if such an attack happens again, the country will unite again. If the country is attacked, we will stand with the government, but will also ask questions.

Congress MP from Amritsar, Punjab, Gurjit Singh Aujla, in strong words, cornered Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government in Parliament and raised many serious questions on the Pahalgam terror attack, the decision of ceasefire and relations with Pakistan and China. He accused the government of doing politics on security issues and demanded accountability.

During this, he also raised the issue of targeting the Golden Temple in the House and alleged that the central government wanted to do politics in it. He said - the military was politicized. They are speaking on social media. But what was the need to ask an army officer to talk about targeting the Golden Temple. What politics did they want to find?

Raised questions on the Pahalgam attack

Gurjit Aujla said that 26 of our tourists were killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, but till now neither the attackers have been caught nor the government has shared any concrete information.

"Where did these terrorists come from, how did they enter? It has been almost 100 days today, but the Home Minister has not given any answer."

He also questioned the role of the Prime Minister and said that on 24 April, two days after the attack, the Prime Minister was celebrating Panchayat Diwas in Bihar, whereas at that time he should have stood with the country. Panchayat Diwas could have been celebrated next year as well.

Demand raised for parade of 35 Rafales

Aujla said in Parliament that on 7 May, the Army attacked terrorist hideouts in Pakistan. The loss was discussed. Pakistan said that 5 Rafales were shot down. We also do not believe it and neither does our Army. But the Prime Minister is requested to parade all 35 rifles and tell the whole world that the country is being misled.

Questions also raised on ceasefire

Referring to Donald Trump's talk of ceasefire on 10 May, he said that no war ends without an agreement. When Indira Gandhi divided Pakistan into two parts, the Shimla Agreement was signed. But this is the first war that lasted for three days and ended without any agreement. After all, how did this ceasefire happen?

Aujla alleged that business interests are hidden behind this decision. The ceasefire was suddenly declared after the possibility of an attack on Adani's solar plant.

Sharp tone against Pakistan and China

The MP said that our army is fighting the enemies, but the government is doing business with China, while China gives money to Pakistan and promotes terrorism. He said that Punjab is the worst affected by terrorism. Even today Pakistan has not stopped. 18 hand grenades have been thrown at Amritsar and nearby police stations.
