Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the BJP headquarters in Delhi at 6 pm on Friday. He will join the celebrations of the NDA's victory in Bihar. The NDA government is certain to form in Bihar. The BJP-JDU alliance is projected to win more than two-thirds of the seats.

The total number of seats in the Bihar Assembly is 243. 122 seats are required to form a government. The BJP and JDU contested 101 seats each. The LJP was allotted 29 seats, and HAM and RLM six seats each. The BJP is leading in 90 seats, with the JDU leading in 80, the LJP in 29, HAM in 5, and RLM in 4.

On February 8th of this year, PM Modi visited the party headquarters after winning the Delhi Assembly elections. Prior to that, Modi visited the BJP office after winning the Haryana Assembly elections, Maharashtra Assembly elections, and the Lok Sabha elections.
With a landslide victory in Bihar, the NDA is forming a government. As of 1 pm, the NDA is leading in 206 seats. The BJP is leading in 95 seats, the JDU in 82, and its allies in 29. This is the first time the BJP has become the largest party in Bihar.

This is the third time in the last 25 years that the BJP has become the largest party in the NDA. Previously, the BJP was number one in 2000 and 2020.

Nitish Kumar has become the CM in each of the last four elections, but whenever the JDU has won fewer seats, the BJP's dominance in the government has increased.

2000 Assembly Election: BJP became the largest party, but Nitish was made the CM

In 2000, no alliance won a clear majority. The NDA had the support of 151 MLAs and the RJD 159, while the majority figure was 163.
The RJD became the largest party by winning 124 seats. The BJP came in second with 67 seats, and Nitish Kumar's Samata Party came in third with 34.

At that time, the BJP was in power at the center, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister. Despite lacking a majority, Governor Vinod Chandra Pandey invited the NDA to form the government.
At the behest of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Advani, Nitish Kumar took the oath of office as Chief Minister on March 3, 2000. However, he failed to secure a majority and resigned seven days later.
2005 Assembly Election: JDU the largest party, CM and Speaker also from the same party

No party secured a majority in February 2005. President's rule was imposed in the state. Elections were held again in October 2005.
The NDA secured a clear majority with 143 seats. JDU became the largest party by winning 88 seats. The BJP secured 55 seats.
JDU's Nitish Kumar became the Chief Minister. BJP's Sushil Kumar Modi became the Deputy CM. The Speaker's post also went to JDU.
JDU received key ministries such as Home, Energy, Education, and Building Construction. The BJP received the Finance, Industry, Health, and Road Construction departments.
2010 Assembly elections: JDU again the largest party, CM and Speaker also from the same party.

In 2010, the NDA won 206 out of 243 seats. The strike rate was 84%.
JDU contested 141 seats and won 115. The strike rate was 81%.
BJP contested 102 seats and won 91. The strike rate was 89%.
Nitish Kumar once again became the Chief Minister. The post of Speaker also went to JDU.
A total of 30 ministers were sworn in, 19 from JDU and 11 from BJP.

The Election Commission of India (October 6) announced the date for the by-election in Tarn Taran, Punjab. Voting will take place on November 11th, and counting will take place on November 14th.

All major parties have announced their candidates before the election announcement. The election code of conduct also came into effect with the election announcement. This seat fell vacant about three months ago following the death of AAP MLA Kashmir Singh Sohal.

1. AAP gives opportunity to a defector
For the Tarn Taran by-election in Punjab, the four major parties: Congress, AAP, Akali Dal, and BJP have fielded their candidates. Among them, AAP has once again given a chance to a defector. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced Harmeet Sandhu as the candidate last Friday. He left the Akali Dal and joined the AAP.

The AAP, which won 92 out of 117 seats in 2022, fielded leaders from other parties in most of the by-elections in Punjab, and they won. Before Tarn Taran, the AAP won three seats in the by-elections.

2. Congress chose a traditional leader
Congress has nominated Karanbir Singh Burj from this constituency. Burj is the former vice president of the Congress Farmers' Cell and a senior Congress leader in the district. He has also served as the state vice president of the Congress Farmers' Cell. Burj hails from the Tarn Taran region and has consistently raised local issues and farmer concerns in the area. He is considered a supporter and close associate of senior Punjab Congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa.

3. BJP also gave ticket to a former Akali
The BJP has nominated Harjeet Singh Sandhu, a former Akali and Youth Akali leader. He has served as the district president of the BJP Tarn Taran since December 2022. He is considered to have a strong hold on local politics and organization. She began her political career in 2007 with the youth wing of the Shiromani Akali Dal, but joined the BJP before the 2022 assembly elections.

4. The Akali Dal has joined forces with the Azad Group.
The Shiromani Akali Dal has nominated Principal Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa as its candidate in the Tarn Taran by-election. She is known as a prominent leader of the "Azad Group." Under her leadership, the local group contested the local body elections, resulting in 43 sarpanches, 8 municipal council councilors, and several former chairmen joining her. Therefore, her support base is considered quite strong. Sukhwinder Kaur has previously served as a school principal, and as a result, she has a reputation among locals as a social worker and a disciplined leader.

Addressing the people of Araria on Saturday (September 27, 2025), Home Minister Amit Shah said that for Rahul Gandhi and Lalu Yadav, the objective of the Bihar elections is to win their party and make Lalu's son the Chief Minister, but for BJP workers, this election is about expelling infiltrators from all over Bihar.

He said, "Make the NDA win with a two-thirds majority. I promise you that the BJP will drive out these infiltrators from the holy land of Bihar. Rahul Baba used to mock the BJP. He said that the temple would be built there and would not reveal the date. Now PM Modi has even consecrated the temple. Ram Lalla was in a tent for five and a half centuries, and the PM worked to build the temple for him."

"BJP increased people's income"

Attacking the opposition, Shah said, "One is Sonia's son, the other is Lalu Prasad Yadav's son. Ask them what they did for Bihar? We have a complete list of what we did." PM Modi abolished Article 370, abolished triple talaq, and eliminated terrorists by entering Pahalgam.

He said that when Lalu Yadav was in power, people's income was ₹8,000, and today it is ₹68,000. The BJP has worked to enrich Bihar. This election is to expel infiltrators. This election is to prevent the return of jungle raj. This election is to strengthen PM Modi. We have won almost all the seats here. Will you increase your seats and cross the 160 mark?

Amit Shah attacks Rahul Gandhi over Bihar tour

The Home Minister further said, "Lalu and company looted Bihar and committed scams. Lalu and company looted Bihar, committed numerous scams, and the Congress also looted the country. For the last 11 years, the Modi government has been in power, and our opponents have not been able to accuse us of even a single penny of corruption."

He said, "Rahul Baba recently came to Bihar and even took out a tour here. Rahul Baba wants infiltrators to have the right to vote. This election is about putting Bihar on the path to progress. Rahul Baba, listen carefully. Take out a yatra anywhere in Bihar. The BJP's resolve is to expel every single infiltrator. BJP's promise to make Bihar flood-free

Regarding Bihar's development work, Amit Shah said, "We ranked first in Naugachhia, Bhagalpur, Banka, Araria, Purnia, Katihar, Supaul, Saharsa, and Madhepura. If you once ensure the NDA's victory with a two-thirds majority, I promise you that we will expel infiltrators from Bihar."

He said, "For us, this election is about making the Kosi region flood-free forever. We all have to decide that whatever we buy this Diwali will be completely indigenous. Indians have to take a pledge to adopt indigenous products."

आम आदमी पार्टी Bihar में अकेले चुनाव लड़ेगी। पार्टी संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल ने गुरुवार को अहमदाबाद में कहा, I.N.D.I.A. गठबंधन सिर्फ लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए था। अब हमारा किसी से कोई गठबंधन नहीं है।

केजरीवाल गुजरात के दो दिन के दौरे पर अहमदाबाद पहुंचे। यहां उन्होंने पार्टी के सदस्यता अभियान की शुरुआत की। केजरीवाल ने कहा कि गुजरात के विसावदर उपचुनाव में हमने कांग्रेस से अलग लड़कर तीन गुना ज्यादा वोटों से जीत दर्ज की है।

उन्होंने कहा, यह जनता का सीधा संदेश है कि अब विकल्प आम आदमी पार्टी है। आगे गुजरात में चुनाव लड़ेंगे और जीतेंगे। दिल्ली में हार पर कहा कि ऊपर-नीचे होता रहेगा। पंजाब में हमारी सरकार दोबारा बनेगी।

सूरत समेत कई शहर पानी में डूबे हुए हैं। किसान, युवा और व्यापारी समेत सभी वर्ग परेशान हैं। इसके बाद भी बीजेपी गुजरात में जीतती आ रही है, क्योंकि लोगों के पास विकल्प नहीं था। कांग्रेस पार्टी को बीजेपी को जीत दिलाने के लिए ठेका दिया जाता है।

आम आदमी पार्टी को लोग एक विकल्प के रूप में देख रहे हैं। विसावदर में जिस तरह से लोगों ने वोट दिया। ये माहौल, ये गुस्सा पूरे गुजरात के लोगों के अंदर है।

कांग्रेस ने ठीक से काम नहीं किया। बीजेपी से कांग्रेस वालों को खूब डांट पड़ी। इंडिया गठबंधन को लेकर पूछे गए सवाल के जवाब में केजरीवाल ने कहा- वह अलायंस लोकसभा के लिए था। अब हमारी तरफ से कुछ नहीं है।

पार्टी की सदस्यता के लिए केजरीवाल ने 9512040404 नंबर जारी कर कहा कि इस पर मिस्ड कॉल देकर आम आदमी पार्टी से जुड़िए। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि विसावदर उपचुनाव में जनता ने हम पर भरोसा किया है। अगर गुजरात का विकास करना है तो युवाओं को हमारे साथ जुड़ना चाहिए।

मुझे सिर्फ दो साल दीजिए, ये हवन है, इसमें आहुति दीजिए। अगर गुजरात का विकास करना है तो आम आदमी पार्टी से जुड़िए। विसावदर की जीत कोई बड़ी जीत नहीं, बल्कि 2027 का सेमीफाइनल है। बीजेपी ने 30 साल तक गुजरात पर राज किया है और आज गुजरात बर्बाद हो गया है।
