                <title>Cyclone Ditwah - Rain in Tamil Nadu, 54 flights cancelled; Puducherry University postpones exams</title>

<p style="text-align:justify;">More than 123 people have died in floods and landslides caused by Ditwah in Sri Lanka, with more than 130 missing. Nearly 300 Indian passengers have been stranded at Colombo airport for the past three days due to the cancellation of flights to Chennai. All of them were supposed to return to India from Dubai via Sri Lanka.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Cyclone Ditwah will hit the Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coast on November 30th.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that Cyclone Ditwah will hit the Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coast on November 30th. This will cause heavy rainfall across the state. Flooding is possible in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Puducherry. There is a risk of landslides in hilly areas, and flash floods are possible in these areas.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Fourteen National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have been deployed in Tamil Nadu's vulnerable coastal districts, including Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, Pudukkottai, and Mayiladuthurai. Ten teams have left for Chennai from NDRF bases in Pune, Maharashtra, and Vadodara, Gujarat.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">India launches Operation Sagar Bandhu to aid Sri Lanka</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">India launched Operation Sagar Bandhu on Saturday to assist Sri Lanka in the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwaha. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar stated on X that an Indian Air Force IL-76 aircraft had arrived in Colombo. Approximately 27 tons of relief material, along with teams of 80 NDRF personnel, have now been delivered by air and sea.</p>

<p>श्रीलंकाई नौसेना ने छह भारतीय मछुआरों को गिरफ्तार किया है और उनकी नौकाएं जब्त कर ली हैं। आरोप है कि ये मछुआरे उसके जलक्षेत्र में मछलियां पकड़ रहे थे। इस तरह की एक महीने के भीतर यह चौथी घटना है। एक आधिकारिक बयान में मंगलवार को यह जानकारी दी गई। </p>



<p>नौसेना की विज्ञप्ति में बताया गया है कि भारतीय मछुआरों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। उनकी दो नौकाओं को सोमवार को जाफना के डेल्फ्ट द्वीप के उत्तर में जब्त कर लिया गया। इसमें आगे कहा गया है कि पकड़े गए छह मछुआरों को कंकासनथुरई बंदरगाह ले जाया गया। उन्हें आगे की कार्रवाई के लिए मैलाडी मत्स्य निरीक्षक को सौंप दिया जाएगा। </p>



<p>पिछले हफ्ते 18 भारतीय मछुआरों को गिरफ्तार किया गया था। उनकी दो नौकाएं भी जब्त कर ली गई थीं। दोनों देशों के बीच लंबे समय मछुआरों का विवादास्पद मुद्दा है। श्रीलंकाई नौसेना ने पाक जलडमरूमध्य में भारतीय मछुआरों पर गोलीबारी भी की थी। अपने जल क्षेत्र में प्रवेश करने का आरोप लगाते हुए उनकी नौकाओं को भी जब्त कर लिया गया था। </p>

<p>पाक जलडमरूमध्य मछुआरों के लिए मछली पकड़ने का एक समृद्ध क्षेत्र है। यह भारत को श्रीलंका से अलग करने वाली संकरी पट्टी है। द्वीप राष्ट्र के अधिकारी कथित अंतरराष्ट्रीय समुद्री सीमा रेखा पार करने का आरोप लगाते हैं और समय-समय पर भारतीय मछुआरों की गिरफ्तारी करते हैं। साल 2023 में श्रीलंका की नौसेना ने अपने जलक्षेत्र में कथित रूप से मछली पकड़ने के लिए 35 नौकाओं के साथ 240 भारतीय को गिरफ्तार किया था। </p>
