A New York Times investigation revealed that after the election, Trump and his associates collected nearly $2 billion (18,000 crore rupees) for various funds and initiatives. This amount is even more than the money raised for his election campaign.

According to the report, based on government documents, funding records, and interviews with numerous individuals, it was found that at least 346 major donors each contributed $250,000 or more.

These individuals alone contributed over $500 million. Approximately 200 of these donors, or their businesses, benefited from decisions made by the Trump administration. This includes six Indian-origin businessmen, such as Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadella.

These benefits included various advantages: some received presidential pardons, others had ongoing cases against them dropped, some companies received large government contracts, while others gained direct access to the White House or were given high-ranking positions in the government.

However, the report also states that it is difficult to prove a direct quid pro quo – that someone gave money and received a direct benefit in return – but the relationship between the money and the benefits certainly raises questions.

Now, let's look at how Trump's team raised the funds:

Trump's team created several different avenues for raising money. The largest of these is MAGA (Make America Great Again) Inc., a Super PAC. A PAC is an organization that raises money for political purposes and uses that money to support a candidate or party.

This organization raised approximately $200 million between November 2024 and June 2025. In addition, the committee formed for Trump's inauguration ceremony raised approximately $240 million, the highest amount in American history.

Furthermore, donations are also being solicited for the construction of a lavish ballroom in the White House. Trump claims that approximately $350 million has been raised for this purpose, although the Times has confirmed donations from donors totaling around $100 million. This money is being channeled through an organization called the "Trust for the National Mall."

Donor names are not required to be disclosed.

In addition, money was raised for "America250," an organization created for the 250th anniversary of American independence, the White House Historical Association, and a political group called Securing American Greatness.

In many of these cases, donor names are not required to be made public, so the entire system remains largely secret.

According to the report, Trump himself monitors who is donating how much money. His fundraising chief, Meredith O’Rourke, provides him with regular updates. Several lobbyists advise their clients that donating to these organizations can be beneficial if they want Trump's attention and access.

Donations led to ambassadorships and contracts.

The report states that one woman donated $2.5 million to MAGA Inc., and a few months later, her father received a significantly reduced sentence in a bribery case from the Justice Department.

Similarly, the engineering company Parsons donated $2.5 million to the Ballroom Project and is now in the running for billions of dollars in government contracts, such as Trump's Golden Dome missile defense system.

The CEO of the video game company Roblox also made a large donation and praised Trump's AI-related policies. A couple donated over $1.5 million combined to the inauguration ceremony and MAGA Inc., and their son was later appointed the US ambassador to Finland.

The tech company Palantir donated $10 million to the Ballroom project and $5 million to "America250." Following this, it received hundreds of millions of dollars in government contracts from the Trump administration, including developing software for the immigration department. However, the company says this wasn't all due to donations.

Trump himself praised the donors at the White House.

The foundation of casino magnate Miriam Adelson pledged nearly $25 million for the ballroom. Trump himself praised her at the White House, noting that she had previously contributed significantly to his election campaign.

Defense companies Lockheed Martin and Boeing also donated millions of dollars to the inauguration ceremony and other projects. They subsequently benefited from major government decisions related to fighter jets and defense contracts.

In some cases, Trump also granted presidential pardons to donors or those connected to them. The owner of an event company that had made a donation was later pardoned by Trump. Similarly, the son of a woman who donated $1 million to MAGA Inc. received a pardon for tax crimes.

Cryptocurrency companies also donated millions of dollars to Trump-supported groups. Following these donations, the government dropped several cases and investigations against them and adopted policies favorable to cryptocurrency. Oil, gas, and coal companies also contributed tens of millions of dollars and, in return, received relaxed environmental regulations and drilling permits.

Several businessmen traveled with Trump on foreign trips.

At least 100 major donors attended private dinners with Trump at the White House, traveled with him on foreign trips, and met directly with the president. On several occasions, they were featured prominently in government social media posts and press releases.

The White House has denied all these allegations, stating that Trump's only motivation is the good of the country and that donors should not be viewed with suspicion.

The country's Information Minister, Abdul Aleem Khan, has stated that the creation of smaller provinces is now certain. He claims this will lead to better governance.

Abdul Aleem Khan attended an Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) workers' convention in Sheikhupura on Sunday. During the event, he said that three new provinces could be created in Sindh and Punjab. A similar division could also take place in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Aleem Khan said that many neighboring countries have several smaller provinces, and therefore, Pakistan should also follow suit. Aleem Khan's party, the IPP, is part of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's coalition government. However, Bilawal Bhutto's Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has opposed the move.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah threatened that no one but God has the power to divide Sindh.

Which new provinces could be created?

The Pakistani government has not yet released an official map, but the areas under discussion are as follows:

Punjab: North Punjab, Central Punjab, South Punjab
Sindh: Karachi Sindh, Central Sindh, Upper Sindh
KP: Northern KP, Southern KP, Tribal KP/FATA Region
Balochistan: East Balochistan, West Balochistan, Southern Balochistan
Bilawal's party opposes the division

Bilawal Bhutto's Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), which is part of the Shehbaz government, has clearly stated that it will oppose the division of Sindh at all costs.

The PPP has long opposed the division of Sindh in particular. Last month, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah issued a clear warning that no step against the interests of Sindh would be accepted.

He said that the PPP would never accept any move against the interests of its province or the country. He said that rumors of new provinces being created are circulating, but they should be ignored. He reiterated that no one but God has the power to divide Sindh. The demand for new provinces has been raised before, but it has never reached fruition. At the time of its creation in 1947, Pakistan had five provinces: East Bengal, West Punjab, Sindh, North-West Frontier Province (NWFP), and Balochistan.

In 1971, East Bengal seceded to become present-day Bangladesh. Later, the NWFP was renamed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This time, the proposal has also received support from some think tanks and parties like the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P).

Several smaller parties also oppose the move.

Besides the PPP, several smaller parties are also against this division. The Awami National Party (ANP) and Baloch nationalist parties have called it a "divide and rule" policy.

They argue that creating smaller provinces could weaken local identity and culture, diminish the political power of larger provinces, and further strengthen the grip of the army and the central government.

Furthermore, it could exacerbate tensions in regions like Balochistan. Some experts say this move could further complicate the country's already unstable political landscape.

Two-thirds majority required to create new provinces

Many political experts say that the army's influence in Pakistan's power structure has increased in recent years. Therefore, the decision to divide the provinces might be more of a strategy to increase political control than a genuine administrative reform.

Creating new provinces requires a constitutional amendment, which needs a two-thirds majority in Parliament. If Pakistan is divided into 12 provinces, the country's administrative structure, politics, and resource allocation will be completely transformed.

Experts say: More provinces mean more problems

Syed Akhtar Ali Shah, a senior Pakistani officer and former police official, says that simply increasing the number of provinces will not solve the problems.

According to Ali Shah, weak institutions, unequal application of the law, lack of accountability, and the failure to empower local governments are the real problems facing the country.

Ahmed Bilal Mehboob, head of the think tank PILDAT, also said that past experiences show that administrative reorganizations have only increased grievances. According to them, creating new provinces would be an expensive, politically controversial, and complex step. The real need is to strengthen local governments.

According to AFP news agency, Pakistani troops opened fire in the Spin Boldak area of Afghanistan around 5 p.m. on Thursday.

An Afghan military source told the news agency that Pakistani troops targeted civilians with heavy weapons. At present, information on casualties is not available. According to some media reports, Afghanistan also retaliated.

This clash occurred at a time when the third round of peace talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan is scheduled to take place in Turkiye on Thursday. The two sides signed a ceasefire in Qatar on October 19, but the second round of talks held in Turkiye last week ended without any agreement. Today's talks are also being conducted under the mediation of Turkiye and Qatar.

Pakistan stated that if the talks fail to resolve the issue, they will respond with full force.

ISI Chief Lieutenant General Asim Malik is leading the peace talks on behalf of Pakistan, while Intelligence Chief Abdul Haq Wasiq, Deputy Interior Minister Rahmatullah Najib, and spokesperson Suhail Shaheen are participating on behalf of the Taliban.

Pakistan's clear stance is that it will not tolerate any terrorist activity against it from Afghan soil, and that the TTP must cease harboring.

Turkey had stated in the previous round that the ceasefire would continue and be monitored, with violations punished. A Pakistani military spokesman has warned that if the talks fail to resolve the issue, Pakistan reserves the right to take action and will respond with full force to any attack.

The two-day talks are expected to lead to steps to open the border and curb terrorism.

Pakistan bombed Kabul

The conflict between Afghanistan and Pakistan began on October 9 when Islamabad attacked Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) bases in Kabul. Afghans blame Pakistan for border disputes and airspace violations.

The root of the dispute between the two countries is the Durand Line, a line drawn between India and Afghanistan during the British era. It divides the traditional lands of the two countries, and the Pashtuns on both sides have never accepted it.

Deadly exchanges of fire broke out between the two sides at at least seven locations along the Durand Line. Both sides claimed heavy losses. According to Reuters, Pakistan said it killed more than 200 Afghan Taliban and their allies, while Afghanistan claimed 58 Pakistani soldiers.

The Pakistani attack killed three cricketers.

Pakistan carried out an airstrike in Afghanistan's Paktika province on October 18. Seventeen people were killed in this attack, including three Afghan cricketers.

According to local media reports, these attacks took place in residential areas of the Urgun and Barmal districts. A 48-hour ceasefire was previously in place between the two countries on Wednesday, October 15th, which ended at 6 p.m. Friday. An agreement was reached to extend it. However, Pakistan attacked just hours later.

The US Embassy in New Delhi announced on Thursday (September 18, 2025) that the Trump administration has revoked the visas of some Indian officials and corporate leaders. The US Embassy stated that they were accused of allegedly being involved in the trafficking of fentanyl precursors (narcotics).

India included in the list of drug trafficking countries

Just a day earlier (September 17, 2025), the US added India to the list of 23 countries where illegal drug production and trafficking takes place. Trump stated that these countries pose a threat to the security of the US and its citizens by producing and trafficking illegal drugs and the chemicals used in their manufacture. The US stated that it is monitoring all countries in this regard.

'Action taken to protect the American people'

The US Embassy issued a press release on Thursday stating that the visas of some Indian company executives have been revoked to protect the American people from the threat of dangerous synthetic drugs. It stated that this decision will render some business associates and their family members ineligible to travel to the United States.

'Serious consequences will be faced'

Officials of companies trafficking fentanyl precursors will also be identified by the embassy when applying for visas to the US. The US Embassy also thanked the Indian government for its cooperation in combating drug trafficking. The US Embassy stated, "Individuals, organizations, and their families involved in the illicit production and trafficking of narcotics into the United States will face serious consequences."

Trump warned, "The countries from which these drugs originate and to which they are supplied must fulfill their obligations and stop the supply of these drugs. Failure to do so will result in serious consequences."

China is secretly smuggling drugs into the US

Recently, the US FBI revealed in its report that China is secretly smuggling chemicals into the US through third countries. The FBI accused China of a dangerous drug conspiracy. The plot aims to destroy the youth of the US and other countries by trapping them in a drug trap.

Fentanyl drugs are 50 times more deadly than heroin

China has begun spreading its drug network across the globe. To achieve this, it has developed a drug known as fentanyl, or "China White," which is 50 times more lethal than heroin. The FBI stated, "China has enacted strict drug regulations within its own country, but has developed a specific strategy to drug addicts among young people in other countries. China has become the world's largest exporter of narcotic drugs today."

The FBI report exposes China's illegal fentanyl empire, which aims to destroy the youth of other countries, especially the United States. FBI Director Kash Patel accused the Chinese Communist Party of secretly shipping chemicals through third countries to evade action and deliberately harm American society.

FBI Director Kash Patel sought India's help

FBI Director Kash Patel called for closer cooperation between India and the United States to dismantle this China-backed network. Kash Patel stated that India plays a crucial role in dismantling this Chinese drug mafia network. The chemical raw materials needed for fentanyl produced in China are now reaching Mexican cartels through countries like India. India is not a consumer of fentanyl, but now it is being used by the Mexican cartels. Being used as a transit route.

US President Trump called the attacker an illegal immigrant and blamed the policies of the previous Biden government for this. Meanwhile, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said that President Trump and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem will no longer allow barbaric criminals to stay in America.

Referring to Tekoluka prison, DHS said that if you come to our country illegally, you can reach Eswatini, Uganda, South Sudan or CECOT. In America, 50-year-old Indian Chandra Nagamallaiya was murdered by slitting his throat by an illegal immigrant from Cuba. He already has a criminal record.

Biden administration gave entry to criminal in America: Trump

Describing the accused as a monster, DHS said, "Chandra Nagamallaiya's head was cut off in front of his wife and child and the deceased's head was thrown on the ground. When Cuba refused to take this criminal, the Biden administration gave him entry in America. If the previous government had not done this, this murder would not have happened today." DHS further said that this is the reason why the agency is sending criminal illegal foreigners to third countries."

No leniency will be shown towards illegal immigrants: Trump

Describing Nagamallaiya as a respectable person, Donald Trump has said that the accused should be given the harshest punishment. He said, "On September 10, in the state of Texas, a 50-year-old Indian-origin hotel manager was beheaded in front of his wife and son after a dispute over a washing machine at the Downtown Suites Hotel. The suspect with a criminal history was arrested, who is a colleague of the hotel manager. Now no leniency will be shown towards these illegal immigrant criminals. This should not have happened in our country."

Rest assured, "The time for leniency towards these illegal immigrant criminals is over under my watch. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Attorney General Pam Bondi, Border Czar Tom Homan, and many others in my administration are doing an amazing job of making America safe again."

After this, an interim government was formed under the leadership of Sushila Karki with the support of the army. Questions are being raised about the secret interference of America behind this entire incident. Many people believe that the involvement of America was not directly revealed, but tacit consent and support was definitely given. Many incidents of interference by America in Nepal in the past are making this suspicion even stronger.

America's old interference in Nepal

The Sunday Guardian report states that the US has previously used Nepal for its secret operations. During the Cold War, as part of its strategy against China, the US used Nepal to collect intelligence, run propaganda campaigns and conduct paramilitary activities. These operations were revealed in the documents of President Nixon's Secret Action Committee in 1971. The purpose of these activities of America was mainly to support anti-China groups.

Mustang Guerrilla Force and US connection

In the 1960s, the US formed the anti-China Mustang Guerrilla Force by arming and training Tibetan refugees in Nepal. Members of this force later revealed in a film titled 'Shadow Circus: The CIA in Tibet' how the US armed and trained them. But as relations between the US and China began to improve, the US dropped support for this force, causing diplomatic consequences for Nepal.

US influence increased after 9/11

After the 9/11 attacks on the US in 2001, the US increased its military presence in Nepal under the guise of the war against terrorism. The US government declared Maoist rebels in Nepal as terrorists and started giving heavy military aid to Kathmandu. Thousands of M-16 rifles were sent to Nepal, and a defense cooperation office was also set up in the US embassy. By 2005, the size of the Royal Nepal Army had doubled with US help.

US hand in the fall of Oli government?

After the sudden collapse of KP Oli's government, speculations about US involvement have intensified. Many senior journalists, police officers and army people believe that such a big movement was not possible without the help of any external force. The special thing is that no big Nepali political face came forward in this movement, which deepened this suspicion. A senior journalist told that America has always liked to work secretly in Kathmandu, so something similar may have happened this time too.

A Nepali official also said that if the new system allows, they will collect evidence to completely prove that foreign forces are behind this conspiracy. Many believe that this entire strategy was prepared by America, as has been happening in the 1960s and 70s.

Did Washington turn the key to change in Nepal?

There is still a lack of evidence, but looking at historical examples and recent events, it seems that America has turned the key to change power in Kathmandu. This political crisis in Nepal has raised new questions, the answers to which will be found only in the coming times. At present, it is not difficult to believe that America's secret role may be behind this entire incident.

PM Modi was warmly welcomed by the NRIs. Photos of PM Modi's 2007 visit have been shared by Modi Archive. He was then the Chief Minister of Gujarat.

Modi Archive said that Narendra Modi visited Japan in April 2007 as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Where he led a 40-member delegation of bureaucrats and industry leaders. He had one goal in mind - to establish Gujarat and by extension India on the world map as a center of industry, infrastructure and innovation.

Met officials of several Japanese companies

During his six-day visit to Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima and Kobe, he interacted with leading companies like Mitsubishi, Mitsui, Sumitomo, Marubeni, Suzuki, Toshiba, Nippon Steel, Nissan Steel, UNIDO and Tsuneshi Shipbuilding and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between JETRO and the Department of Industry of Gujarat.

Ports, logistics, infrastructure and human resource development were discussed at the Japan Chambers of Commerce and Industries and the India-Japan Friendship Forum, with Gujarat presenting itself as a natural entry point for Japan in India's growth story. During this visit, Narendra Modi also met Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and discussed the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).

When Modi gave a very special gift to Abe

Modi presented Abe with a CD on the Buddhist heritage sites of Gujarat and a hand-woven tribal shawl, and also invited him to visit Gujarat. In turn, Abe assured Modi of Japan's full support for the Gujarat section of the DMIC. Stepped into the cockpit of a Japanese bullet train. What if such a high-speed rail could transform Indian connectivity? The seed of this idea in 2007 blossomed years later into the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, a flagship project of India-Japan cooperation.

Narendra Modi visited the Peace Memorial Park and Museum in Hiroshima and paused to learn the lessons of history. He paid his respects in prayer to the Suzuki Meikichi Literary Memorial and Fountain. In Kobe, he attended a cultural event at The India Club, which has served as a bridge for the Indian diaspora since 1904.

The 2007 visit significantly expanded business and cultural ties between Gujarat and Japan. In 2012, Narendra Modi returned to Japan, this time not just as the chief minister of Gujarat, but as a leader whose reputation had begun to go beyond the state's borders. His five-day visit from July 22 to 27 was at the formal invitation of the Japanese government.

He has been accused of embezzlement of temple property and funds, having illicit relations with many women and being the father of illegitimate children.

According to the China Daily report, several government agencies are jointly investigating these allegations. Meanwhile, the Buddhist Association of China has taken away his initiation certificate on Monday. The association said in its statement that Shi Yongxin's actions have caused serious damage to the reputation of the Buddhist community and the image of the monks.

Accused of violating the principles of Buddhism on the head priest

The activities of the head priest are considered to be a blatant violation of the principles of Buddhism. The officials investigating the case have said that whatever information comes to light will be shared with the public from time to time.

Shaolin Temple is located in the hills of Henan province in Central China. This 1500-year-old temple is famous all over the world not only for religious reasons but also for its martial arts tradition, especially Kung Fu. Every year, lakhs of people from India and abroad visit this Buddhist temple.

Yongxin made Shaolin famous all over the world

Xi Yongxin has been the head of the Shaolin Temple since 1999. He transformed this temple into a modern business model, due to which he came to be known as the 'CEO Monk'. Under his leadership, the temple opened schools abroad and formed a group of monks who perform Shaolin Kung Fu shows all over the world.

However, this is not the first time that Yongxin has been in controversy. First of all, in the year 2006, a local government gifted him a Volkswagen SUV worth about 1 million yuan (about $125,000).

It was then believed that Xi had helped promote local tourism, due to which the government was pleased and gifted him this. However, Yongxin then called it a gift and said that he did not take any personal benefit.

Earlier also he was accused of having illicit relations with women

After this, in the year 2015, one of his former disciples claimed that Xi Yongxin had illicit relations with many women and they also have children. On this, he said that these allegations are false and baseless. Later, these allegations were dismissed due to lack of any evidence.

After this, he was accused of misusing the projects and property related to the temple and taking personal benefit from them. He was accused of financial irregularities by issuing fake receipts and hiding his identity. However, no evidence was found for this either.

Yongxin also once wore a bracelet made of gold thread, for which he was criticized. In some reports, its price was said to be $ 25,000.

In Buddhism, monks are expected to be simple and stay away from worldly pleasures. Critics said that when an abbot, who should lead a monk's life, wears such a flashy, expensive robe, it tarnishes the dignity of religion and the tradition of the temple.

In an interview with BBC Chinese, when he was asked why such serious allegations were leveled against him, he said, "If there was really something wrong, it would have come to light by now."

Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, after meeting US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington DC, said that if the US has any evidence regarding TRF, Pakistan will welcome it.

Regarding TRF, both India and America believe that it is the new form of Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. This is the same organization which took responsibility for the deadly attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April 2025, in which many civilians died, but Pakistan is still keeping distance from TRF. Ishaq Dar said, "Lashkar-e-Taiba was eliminated by Pakistan years ago. Action was taken against it, people were arrested, the organization was destroyed. It has nothing to do with TRF."

What did Pakistan's Foreign Minister Dar say?

Dar also said that Pakistan had strongly opposed the inclusion of TRF's name in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) statement condemning the Pahalgam attack. He told Parliament, "We received calls from many countries, but Pakistan opposed the mention of TRF and eventually the name was removed." However, the US has officially designated TRF as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT). Pakistan welcomed this and said that if there is any evidence, it should be shared, but it is wrong to link the organization to Lashkar-e-Taiba.

India had already declared TRF a terrorist organization

India had already declared TRF a terrorist organization under the UAPA law in January 2023. According to the South Asia Terrorism Portal, TRF started in 2019 through social media. After this, the organization has claimed responsibility for many attacks - including grenade attack in Srinagar, targeted killings and attacks on soldiers.

India has been trying to get TRF declared as an international terrorist for the last two years. For this, India also presented evidence before the United Nations 1267 Sanctions Committee in 2023, May 2024 and November 2024.

What did India say about TRF?

India says that Pakistan's army and government promote cross-border terrorism and organizations like TRF are used to spread violence in Jammu and Kashmir. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said in a recent address, "India believes in tourism, but Pakistan considers terrorism as tourism, which is dangerous for the world."

India's Air Chief Marshal had made this claim

A few days after the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan on May 10, Air Marshal A.K. Bharti said that India shot down several high-tech Pakistani fighter planes, although he did not mention the number. At the same time, Pakistan underestimated India's claim and said that only one aircraft of the Pakistani Air Force (PAF) suffered minor damage. Pakistan has claimed to have shot down six Indian planes, including Rafale.

What did the Chief of Defense Staff say?

This claim of Pakistan was rejected by Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan. He admitted that some fighter planes were shot down during the war. General Chauhan said that the losses were incurred in the initial stages of the conflict, but the armed forces immediately corrected their mistakes and attacked Pakistan again.
