Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has landed in a bizarre controversy. He inaugurated an outlet bearing the Pizza Hut brand in Sialkot Cantonment. However, just hours later, Pizza Hut declared the outlet to be fake.

After pictures and videos of the inauguration went viral on social media, Pizza Hut Pakistan issued a statement clarifying that it had no connection to the outlet.

The viral pictures and videos show Khawaja Asif cutting the ribbon at the outlet in Sialkot Cantonment. He is also seen posing for the camera with scissors in his hand.

Asif becomes a target of jokes on social media

As soon as the matter came to light, people started making fun of it on the social media platform X. One user wrote, "Defense Minister Khawaja Asif inaugurated a fake Pizza Hut franchise in Sialkot. These foolish old men have been imposed upon us."

Another user jokingly wrote, "When Pizza Hut itself says, 'This is not our slice.'"

Pizza Hut alleges misuse of its brand

Pizza Hut Pakistan issued a statement saying that the restaurant opened in Sialkot Cantonment is misusing the Pizza Hut name and brand.

Dar also said that Pakistan had strongly opposed the inclusion of TRF's name in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) statement condemning the Pahalgam attack. He told Parliament, "We received calls from many countries, but Pakistan opposed the mention of TRF and eventually the name was removed." However, the US has officially designated TRF as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT).  छात्रों को पास के हेल्मुट लिस्ट हॉल में ले जाया गया, जहाँ उन्हें रेड क्रॉस से उपचार मिला।
इस घटना के कारण पुलिस अधिकारियों ने इलाके की घेराबंदी कर दी और सार्वजनिक परिवहन को डायवर्ट कर दिया।
स्थानीय रिपोर्टों के अनुसार, गोलीबारी सुबह 10 बजे शुरू हुई।
स्कूल में गोलियों की आवाज़ सुनाई देने के बाद, लोगों को उस इलाके से दूर रहने और घर के अंदर शरण लेने की सलाह दी गई।

पाकिस्तान के सूचना मंत्री अताउल्लाह तरार ने रात में कहा कि "आक्रामकता के किसी भी कृत्य का निर्णायक जवाब दिया जाएगा"। तरार ने बुधवार की सुबह एक बयान में कहा, "पाकिस्तान के पास विश्वसनीय खुफिया जानकारी है कि भारत पहलगाम घटना को झूठे बहाने के रूप में इस्तेमाल करते हुए अगले 24 से 36 घंटों के भीतर सैन्य हमला करने का इरादा रखता है।" जम्मू और कश्मीर के पहलगाम में हुए आतंकवादी हमले के बाद पिछले सप्ताह से परमाणु-सशस्त्र पड़ोसियों के बीच संबंधों में गिरावट आई है, जिसमें 26 लोगों की जान चली गई। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने मंगलवार को बंद कमरे में हुई बैठक के दौरान हमले का जवाब देने के लिए सेना को "पूर्ण परिचालन स्वतंत्रता" दी।

अमेरिका में राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प ने बुधवार को नई इमिग्रेशन पॉलिसी के तहत 104 अवैध प्रवासी भारतीयों को जबरन डिपोर्ट कर दिया। अमेरिकी एयरफोर्स का विमान सी-17 ग्लोबमास्टर इन्हें लेकर दोपहर करीब 2 बजे अमृतसर में एयरफोर्स के एयरबेस पर उतरा। इनमें पंजाब के 30, हरियाणा-गुजरात के 33-33 लोग शामिल थे। इनके कुछ परिवार और 8-10 साल के बच्चे भी शामिल थे।

अमृतसर एयरपोर्ट के सुरक्षा अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, इन लोगों का वैरिफिकेशन किया गया। यहां से इमिग्रेशन और कस्टम से क्लियरेंस के बाद पंजाब पुलिस को सौंप दिया गया। करीब साढ़े 3 घंटे बाद US एयरफोर्स विमान वापस लौट गया। जिसके बाद पंजाब के डिपोर्ट किए लोगों को पुलिस की गाड़ियों में उनके घर भेज दिया गया। हालांकि हरियाणा, गुजरात, UP, महाराष्ट्र और चंडीगढ़ के लोगों की वापसी अभी होनी बाकी है।

इससे पहले अलग-अलग रिपोर्ट्स में दावा किया गया कि अमेरिका ने कुल 205 अवैध भारतीयों को डिपोर्ट करने के लिए चिह्नित किया है। इन्हें भारत भेजा जाएगा। 186 भारतीयों को डिपोर्ट करने वाली लिस्ट भी सामने आई। अभी यह स्पष्ट नहीं है कि बाकी बचे लोग कहां हैं और कब डिपोर्ट किए जाएंगे।

अमेरिकी इमिग्रेशन एंड कस्टम इन्फोर्समेंट के अनुसार 19 हजार अवैध प्रवासी भारतीय डिपोर्ट होंगे। ट्रम्प ने ये कार्रवाई ऐसे समय की है, जब भारतीय प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी 12 फरवरी को दो दिन की यात्रा पर अमेरिका जाने वाले हैं। 13 फरवरी को पीएम की ट्रम्प के साथ वार्ता प्रस्तावित है।

वहीं पंजाब के NRI मामलों के मंत्री कुलदीप धालीवाल ने अमृतसर एयरपोर्ट जाकर पंजाब के डिपोर्ट लोगों से मुलाकात की। जिसके बाद उन्होंने कहा- PM नरेंद्र मोदी कहते हैं कि अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प उनके दोस्त हैं। वे उनका प्रचार भी करने गए थे। वे ट्रम्प से मिलकर इसका हल निकालें।

 लॉस एंजिल्स में लगी विनाशकारी जंगल की आग से मरने वालों की संख्या बढ़कर कम से कम 11 हो गई है. वहीं आग बुझाने की कोशिशों के बीच कथित पानी की कमी एक बड़ा मुद्दा बन गया है. एलए काउंटी मेडिकल परीक्षक कार्यालय ने हाल ही में हुई मौतों की पुष्टि की है. उसने चेतावनी दी है कि दिन गुजरने के साथ यह संख्या बढ़ सकती है.

मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक कैलिफोर्निया के गवर्नर ने स्वतंत्र जांच की मांग की है कि किस तरह पानी की कमी ने लॉस एंजिल्स क्षेत्र में लगी आग के खिलाफ लड़ाई को नुकसान पहुंचाया. गवर्नर गेविन न्यूजॉम ने कहा कि उन्होंने कुछ फायर हाइड्रेंट में पानी की सप्लाई की कमी और सांता यनेज जलाशय से पानी की आपूर्ति की कथित अनुपलब्धता के दावों की स्वतंत्र जांच की मांग की.

लॉस एंजिल्स के जल और बिजली विभाग के प्रमुख जैनिस क्विनोन और लॉस एंजिल्स काउंटी के लोक निर्माण निदेशक मार्क पास्ट्रेला को लिखे पत्र में न्यूजॉम ने रिपोर्टों को बेहद परेशान करने वाला बताया. चुनौतीपूर्ण परिस्थितियों के बीच फायर फाइटर आग बुझाने में लगे हुए हैं, हालांकि सप्ताह की शुरुआत में आग को भड़काने वाली तेज हवाएं अब थम गई हैं. ईटन फायर को नियंत्रित करने में कुछ प्रगति हुई है, लेकिन 100 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से चलने वाली तेज हवाओं ने पैलिसेड्स फायर को नियंत्रित करना विशेष रूप से चुनौतीपूर्ण बना दिया.

आग ने लॉस एंजिल्स शहर के उत्तर में घनी आबादी वाले 25-मील (40 किमी) क्षेत्र में 12,000 से अधिक घरों और इमारतों को अपनी चपेट में ले लिया है. लगभग 150,000 निवासियों को घर छोड़ने के आदेश दिए गए हैं. इस क्षेत्र में आठ महीने से अधिक समय से बारिश नहीं हुई है, जिससे नुकसान बहुत ज्यादा हुआ है. भयानक आग में अमेरिकी फिल्म जगत के कई हस्तियों के घर भी आ गए हैं, क्योंकि लपटें हॉलीवुड हिल्स तक पहुंच गई हैं.

पाकिस्तान के सूचना एवं प्रसारण (IB) मंत्री अताउल्लाह तारड़ ने पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान की पाकिस्तान तहरीक-ए-इंसाफ (PTI) पार्टी पर हिंसा की राजनीति को बढ़ाने का आरोप लगाया है। अताउल्लाह ने कहा कि PTI के प्रदर्शन कभी शांतिपूर्वक नहीं रहे हैं।

मंत्री ने आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि PTI कार्यकर्ताओं ने 26 नवंबर को इस्लामाबाद में आधुनिक हथियारों, स्टेन गन आंसू गैस और ग्रेनेड से लैस होकर हिंसा फैलाई। अताउल्लाह ने 9 मई और 26 नवंबर को पाकिस्तान के इतिहास का सबसे काला दिन बताया। अताउल्लाह ने आरोप लगाते हुए कहा, "PTI लाशों की राजनीति करना चाहती है और देश में अशांति फैलाकर अपने राजनीतिक हित साधना चाहती है।"

जेल में बंद PTI के संस्थापक इमरान खान ने हिंसा के आरोपों पर पलटवार करते सरकार पर देश को जाति के आधार पर बांटने का आरोप लगाया। इमरान ने X पर पोस्ट करते हुए लिखा कि सरकार पख्तूनों को जाति के आधार पर निशाना बना रही है।

इमरान ने लोगों से अपील करते हुए कहा कि कोई भी सरकार की 'फूट डालो और राज करो' की नीति का हिस्सा न बने। हम सभी पहले पाकिस्तानी हैं। इसके अलावा इमरान ने सरकार को अवज्ञा आंदोलन (सरकार की नाफरमानी) की धमकी दी है।

इमरान ने सरकार के सामने 2 प्रमुख मांगें भी रखी है। इनमें से पहली है कि पिछले साल 9 मई और इस साल 26 नवंबर को हुई हिंसाओं की जांच सुप्रीम कोर्ट के सीनियर जजों की अध्यक्षता में कराई जाई। वहीं दूसरी मांग है कि गैर कानूनी तरीके से जेल में बंद में PTI के कार्यकर्ताओं और नेताओं के रिहा किया जाए।

इमरान की पार्टी के नेता और खैबर पख्तूनख्वा के मुख्यमंत्री अली अमीन गंडापुर ने कहा कि नाफरमानी आंदोलन इमरान खान ने बुलाया है, मैंने नहीं। उन्होंने कहा कि जब पूरी जानकारी मिल जाएगी, तब इस पर काम करेंगे। हम इमरान के आदेशों का पालन करेंगे।

उन्होंने कहा कि हमारी प्राथमिकता बातचीत है, लेकिन सरकार को अपनी ताकत दिखानी होगी। PTI के नेता और नेशनल असेंबली में विपक्ष के नेता उमर अयूब ने सोमवार को कहा कि पार्टी राजनीतिक संकट को सुलझाने के लिए किसी के साथ भी बातचीत करने को तैयार है।

पिछले कुछ महीनों से सरकार और PTI के बीच तनाव लगातार बढ़ा है। इसे एक बार फिर पाकिस्तान में राजनीतिक अस्थिरता का दौर शुरू होने के तौर पर देखा जा रहा है।
